Haven't been in here in some time, keeping busy with the kids.

Well Friday night my son v*, just once, and then he was fine, jumping playing, drinking. All weekend long he was ok too, his appetite wasn't too bad. The today he has d* 3 times. But I'm puzzled as to if this is viral or not, cause my daughter has not had any symptoms. The share drinks etc all the time so I would have thought that she would have it by now since it's been about 3 days after he's v*. And she's usually the first one sick with that kind of stuff. I was freaking out today cause I was actaully ok knowing that he just v* maybe cause he had tummy ache, but I can't bear the fact that it could be viral and get us all sick! oh no. Last time they were sick with this in March, I got terrible d* and a stomach ache from hell!! Do you think that we're out of the woods, or that his illness is not viral (in which case I'm worried) I just don't understand why he would v* and then have the d*
2 1/2 days later? Any help for this freaked out mom?

    thanks in advance!!!!!!

I think everyone should be fine by now. Maybe you and your daughter could better fight off the virus so it did not affect the two of you. Keep us posted! I hope your son feels better!

hmmm.. maybe something he is eating is not agreeing with him.. maybe he is building an food allergy??? Seems like if it was a virus he may be down and out.. and not so hungry.. so im thinkin that maybe he just cant digest something he is eating.. I have lots of food allergies .. i know! anyways.. i would still be freaked out though.. I hope he feels better soon! and that you two dont get it.. if it is viral..

With these things you never can tell really until its too late.. in my experiences..

    Take care

    I think you are fine.
That happened to my daughter a couple summers ago. She was perfectly fine. She vomited. Then an hour later she was begging me for food and making fun of me that I wouldn't let her have any. She was fine. I think in the summer kids get diarrhea often, too. I don't know why, but it just seems like it. Maybe the two have nothing to do with one another.

I think you will be fine, I honestly it doesn't sound like a virus, usually kids vomit and they will keep on vomiting if it's a virus and then comes the D* right after or even before not 2 days after. maybe he Lactose intolernt. I think you guys will be fine if people were to get it will would of happened already! So I think your out of the woods and you don't have to worry!

Well I think so far so good! I hope I'm not saying that too soon. But my little girl woke up this morning and was restless trying to get back to sleep, didn't really want to drink her milk, and I was so sure she was going to be sick soon, but she fell asleep and was fine. She ate lunch, and I think she's ok. My son's appetite isn't as good as it always is. I'm not sure what's up. But I am going to make an appt to take him to his PED, so they do a cbc. And maybe they can refer us to a pediatric gastro specialist. I'm worried that he's getting my IBS. I got it from my dad, he got it from his mom, and it runs all over in my family. Even in the kids. So I just want to be sure he's ok. Well thanks for the replies I'll keep you posted.
