Right, I'm in a really annoying situation. Tomorrow, I am going to Brighton with my Dad and this sort of thing gives me really bad anxiety... It really puts me down, how I can't even see my own Dad for a night without having to panicky or anything, my Mum and Dad divorced when I was about 3 and I find it extremely hard because I love him so much, and he thinks I am crying because I get anxiety when I'm around him sort of thing... Does anybody have any sleeping tips cos we are staying in a hotel and nights are the worst for me, especially sleeping in odd places. I know my Dad will understand cos he's a really lovely person, but it just irritates me how I can't go away for ONE night and have a good time...

Sleeping tips? Or calming down tips?... Would be very much appreciated..

    Thanx everyone.

I just went through a similar experience when we went on vacation. We had to stay at my sister's apartment with her roomates and boyfriend, plus my children, husband, and parents. Crowds seems to overwhelm me now. At about 2 am, I had a breakdown. I went and cried in my car for hours in the parking lot. Eventually, my dad convinced me to take a dramamine and it was the best. I actually was able to sleep for a little while. I have been having significant trouble sleeping lately so I have been trying tylenol pm and it has been really great for me. Also, I just saw a new product called simply sleep from tylenol which is only for sleep..no pain relievers.

I would really consider taking something so that you can sleep. Emet and anxiety are so difficult as is, let alone combined with sleep deprivation. That always seems to make me nauseous anyway.

    Good luck!
