French’s french fried onions...

Ok here I go again! You know the french's french fried onions, the ones that go into green bean casserole??? I ate some, and my boyfriend at e some last night ( he is fine ) and I realised that it was best before a year and ahalf ago!!!! But it is canned...kinda...I don't know, if anyone has any experince with this product and thoughts please let me know! I am scared!

Oh its fine. Those things are so preservative filled that you could probably eat them ten years from now and be fine. Think of them like dehydrated food, they really don't go bad. You're just fine![img]smileys/smilies_02.gif[/img]Janna

generally a best before date just indicates that the product tastes at its best before that date, the quality goes down after that date, but it shouldnt harm you. best before dates are normally on dry food. just to set your mind at ease lol

ohhh I like those things. My husband gets the cheddar flavored ones to put on mashed pototoes! yummy! .. i have ate them and they were very old and kind of stale but still good. You will be fine!

Don't worry about that. Processed foods would be very unlikely to make you ill. The things to always be very careful about the best buy dates are protein foods (meat and dairy).

Thank you everyone for your replies! Unfortunetly I didn't even check this yesterday to put my mind at ease! Janna, i just wanted to say I love your name...I was thinkin gof that name a couple days ago actually, it is very stranbge that after thinking about it, I see someone post with that name! I have only heard it once before, on th eYoung and The restless ( BF watches it, not myself so much, I am more of a General Hospital fan lol ) But ya, it is a nice name! Thanks so much everyone! I was fine from it by the way!
