Not good. I went to bed at 3am (was feeling sort of icky but not too bad) and woke up just abit ago. My stomach woke me up. It feels like it is expanding like a balloon. Sharp pains too. I have the chills, but not so much n*. Yet. I say 'yet' because one of the last times I had an sv, it started this way. It slowly built up over a few hours. And it is starting.

I am beside myself with panic right now. I can't be sick. Rosh Hashanah starts at sundown and I was so looking forward to services and dinner.

    I hate fall through spring.

Thanks violet. My panic meter is at about 200 right now (On a scale of 1-10).

I do have IBS and I am super stressed lately, but this feels just too much like the last time I had an sv.

So right now I am sipping water, super slowly. I'm about to crawl into the shower to see if some nice hot water will help me relax.

Good idea about the shower, something hot and relaxing, that should help!!

Remember, being an emet, things always seem a million times worse than they are with us pannicing, so try your hardest to do deep breathing and see how you feel after your shower.

I should still be around if you need me xx

Hey marie, i really hope you're feeling a bit better now? The symptoms you described could just mean you have eaten something funny, sometimes this happens to me and i don't v*, i just feel uncomfortable for a few days. Do you have any anti-emetics with you? They may help ease your anxiety a little aswell. Feel better soon x x

Hey Marie I hope your feeling better. Ugh I hate it when that happens and you think its an sv coming on. It could just be IBS or if your period is coming that can really make things yuck down there.

Hiya marie, hope you're feeling better now! Panic attacks really suck, especially when they happen on a day when you REALLY don't want oneremember though, panic can turn the mildest stomach gurgles into fullblown n*, so try to remind yourself that anxiety is almost always to blame if you're feeling icky.

You'll be ok, I'm sure! ^_^ Take it easy for the day.Edited by: angel13

Hi all! Just got back from the synagogue dinner. I ate a ton of food, because I was so starving from not having eaten all day.

My tummy is a little uncomfortable (probably becaus eit was super empty then super full) but not nearly as bad as earlier.

I do have a new worry though. As soon as I got there I saw some of my friends and in the middle of hugging everyone hello I mentioned my earlier woes. One of my friends said, "Oh, hope your not gettig what I am JUST GETTING OVER. It's a nasty sv that is going around".

    I almost passed out cold.

I wanted to run out of there and back home, but I stayed, had dinner, enjoyed services and had a good time.

Part of the reason I stayed is that one of our other friends mentioned that she had contracted said sv while visiting her 2 year old niece 3 weeks ago and was sick for 2 weeks. I think it was less viral and more bacterial, like shigella or something.

Plus, it's the Jewish New Year. :-) I had to stay.
