Ok, I just had to share this. Today I went to my Dr. and my therapist. (Dr. to discuss my meds for my phobia, and therapist to discuss my phobia) I go to both of them for treatment for my emetophobia. Anyway, I had to bring my 2-year-old daugther with me. She did great and sat through both appointments very well. I live about 30-40 minutes away from the drs office and it is mostly highway. Anyway, my daugther started fussing about 10 minutes from home. Not real bad. I just thought she was tired of sitting and wanted to run and play. As soon as I pull into my driveway and put the car in park, I look back and my daughter started to v*!!! UGH! I just came from my appt, to deal with this and here she is doing it. Anyway....I was very proud of myself. I stayed calm and I didn't panic or freak out!I got her out of the car and took her clothes off right in the driveway. I took her right upstairs and put her in the bath. She was laughing and playing less than 5-minutes after she v*!!! Kids...I wish I could bounce back that easily. Anyway, I got her cleaned up and cleaned up the car seat and let it sit in the sun. I threw away her shirt (it was old and she is outgrowing it) But her jeans are new and I don't want to thorw them out. They are covered in v* and are still outside. I'm not sure what to do with them, but I don't want them inside yet. Anyway, I THINK she just got car sick. I don't think it is the sv because she has been fine the rest of the day and no one else is sick and she didn't go anywhere to pick up a germ. Plus, she has gotten car sick twice before. So I feel better now that I think it is not contagious. But I have still been real careful all day. Washing my hands extra good and stuff.

Anyway, I just had to share. But I wonder why she got car sick? She has before, but I wonder why today? Oh well...she is fine now. She doesn't have a fever, she is acting normal and she even ate this afternoon with no trouble. So I guess all is well.

It is just funny how it happened right after my appts for my phobia. Ah, the irony!!!

Hey, really good job handling it! Re: the jeans, I'd probably hose them off before I brought them inside and then just throw them straight in the wash by themselves Glad your daughter is feeling better - I wish too that we could recover that easily!

sounds like you handled that great!

thats crazy though u were just at the doctor for your phobia then that happens! that kind of stuff happens to me all the time!

Sometimes kids tummies are much more sensitive than ours.. i remember my lil bro v** for no reason until he was about 4 yrs old.. and later we found out it was because he was lactose intolerant but it could have just been something she ate that didnt settle in her lil tummy combined with the motion. I am sure she will be fine as will u.. i doubt very much it is a sv*

Hehehe- it's good that you can laugh about this!

About the jeans- I agree with a good hose-down, and then throw 'em in the wash. If she has gotten carsick before, and is fine now, than that's likely what it was. That, and we can't throw out every item of clothing if it comes in contact with vomit, especially in terms of kids clothes. That can become expensive, lol.

Glad you handled the situation well!

    High five~!
