I know that i post this almost every weekend, when my parents go away, but this weekend is even worse because it's a long weekend, no school on monday, so they're away for extra long. I'm here with only my two kittens that i got two days ago.

I don't really feel sick persay, just really...not right. Tired, like i have phlegm in my throat, and just...not energized. Of course, that could be from watching TV all day. But, i'm just alone and need someone to talk to. I'm making hot dogs now, but i'm kind of nervus that i will be sick and my parents won't be here so i'll be all alone...

    help!

    Hey hun,

Sorry im only seeing this post, so il chip in

I know where your coming from totally, i always hate it when im going ot be on my own, I tend to start to feel a bit off and my anxiety is high and in turn I look into things more, and nope Im not calling you mad!

Try calming yourself down with a little junk food or what ever comforts you and also keep yourself prepared, if u feel that your at a loose end then you will have something lined up, I also always make sure i know where the anti emetics are, just incase.

Try chatting to anyone that makes you feel better as well, I feel its all about being on step ahead.

I hope your feeling better by now and im sorry ive only just got to this!

    xxx

    Thank you so much!!

It's totally okay that you didn't get to the thread before now, i figured that happened to a lot of people. Plus, it just makes me happy that i got a response.

I'm feeling a bit better...i ate hot dogs and ice cream (reaall nutritious) but it's better than orderingchinese deliverylike i usually do, lol. and i watched some TV, but now i'm upstairs. I think what contributes to my anxiety is we have a very old and large house with a huge picture window, so the house itself kinda creeps me out. Plus, my two new kittens knocked down a partition just fifteen minutes ago and ran upstairs and made me freak out thinking there was someone inthe house...i'm just a big bundle of nerves right now i think. But, you helped a lot!

    thank you!

Ahh the spooky house syndrome, I know it only to well, Ive got a pretty large old house here as well, been around since the 1800's, and im convinced its haunted, but I believe in ghosts so I would.

But think of it this way, your in the house you have the lights on your ok you have eaten your stomach is fine, you have your BEAUTIFUL might I add, kittens there to help distract you also, you have been there before and got it and can do it again with the added bonus of kittens this time, even if they are naughty lol!!

Everything is going to be fine hun, take this time to relax and do what ever you enjoy, but know were here for you and il be around most days and nights if you need me!

It's weird but i love having the house to myself. I choose some films or tv progs to watch and order in some takeaway and sit in my pjs all day! Last time my parents went away i watched a whole series of buffy and it was fab! Try and make it positive by doing things that you like or inviting some friends over. Have fun! x

I definitely know how you feel about being alone...usually when my gf goes to work, or I come home from class to an empty house, I feel the same way...however, it soon fades when I realize I can:

-sing as LOUD as I want (I'm a horrible singer)

    -dance around the house

-talk to my cats in that annoying baby-talk voice

I know it's difficult, but take advantage of an empty house and a long weekend! I see it as one less day to be in class!

And yes, cats (especially kittens) can be little terrors sometimes...the other day, my littlest one drug a bag of pretzels into the middle of the living room and began tearing at the package! I still want to know WHERE HE GOT THE PRETZELS!

No i usually love being home alone, can't wait to go to college, etc. but when my parents are in another state and i dont have any friends with me it's hard. they're back now, so i'm good, wishing they would go away again lol!

I know how you feel. I love being home by myself during the day, but at night, I get scared. And if my husband leaves for a weekend camping trip with his buddies or something, I get pretty freaked too. I pretty much distract myself by cleaning the crap out of my apartment (always harder to clean when hubby's in the way) during the day, if I'm not working. Then, I usually curl up on the couch with a bowl of popcorn and a Hershey bar, and watch the sappiest, romantic, tear-jerker movies I can find (The Notebook, anyone???)! Alone time can be good---just keep yourself busy so you don't have time to think. Thinking too much often leads to worrying too much. Call a friend, cuddle and play with those kitties, and watch the sappiest movie you can find!
