Hey everyone. My stomach hurts bad. Not my intestines, not up-high acid indigestion, but sort of dead center, maybe a little to the right stomach pain. I fasted for Yom Kippur (full 25 hours, no food or water) and then ate apples, cheese, and some potatoes to break the fast a few hours ago. I'm guessing it;s my IBS because the pain lets up a bit when I have a bm. Which has happened 4 times in the past 2 hours. It's not d* at all, but the pain is worrying me. I don't think it's anything more than an IBS thing, but I'd sure like a few opinions!! Thank you!

OK, it's getting worse. Now I cannot even take in a deep breath without that pain. I tried sipping some water, but after two sips the pain got really bad. It's about 2-3 inches below my rib cage, more right than center. Does anyone know what this is??????

Hey,

How are you feelng now? It sounds like you ate some pretty heavy things on an empty stomach so maybe that set your IBS off again? Hope you are better x

Hi, Katy. I am feeling ok-ish right now, but not great. I am worried that it's a gall bladder thing. I called my mmom and she said the pain sounds like what she experienced during gall bladder attacks. Lovely. :-(

hey! im sorry your not feeling well. i just wanted to tell you that for
me...if i go all day not eating i get some sort of strange pain in my
stomach...not n* not d* but just this pain like i have a really bad gas
bubble but not really...
its kinda hard to explain. It also generally hurts more when i move...but
it is quite uncomfortable....i don't know what it is but yours may be the
same thing as what i have what ever it is....
for me it seems to go away like...3 hours after i eat...and lying
down helps me as well... could it be indigestion of some sort???
i hope you feel better!Edited by: livielove123

I was going to say gallbladder too. I had a gallbladder attack about a month ago--two of them. They hurt like hell and I cried. But I haven't had one before, or since, so I guess it was just a fluke. I never felt n* at all. Just hurt really bad. It passed after an hour the first night, and after two hours the second night. I feel your pain!

But if the pain migrates to the lower right side, near your hipbone, run for the ER. Could be appendicits. But my money is on gas or gallbladder.

It still hurts, but not bad. Just sort of like a strain or something. Like when you've worked out too hard, which I have not. I am going to the clinic on campus tomorrow. As a gall bladder precation, I am cutting virtually all fat from my diet (I have read that fat can aggravate it).

This sounds a lot like what i get, sometimes i dont eat for so long that when i do eat even a small amount i get the pain that your explaining, sometimes i get it both sides and it lasts most of the day but ive noticed its more like a stitch pain but its below my ribs and to one side a little, just where my tummy muscles are, and that is actually what it is for me.. when u starve yourself your tummy shrinks but then you start to produce more gas so then it expands and then when you eventually eat it expands more, and you kinda get a feeling like a muscle spasm like stitch pain, this is what my doc tells me anyways.. its happend to me quite alot now and it makes sense.. dont know if any of this helps???
