    Hi there!
I suppose it is possible to v* without feeling n* beforehand but I'm pretty sure it's rare. I've seen it on tv shows and movies and so forth when someone sees something disgusting or something smells awful they spontaneously v*, so maybe that's a situation one would get s* without warning.
Generally it seems when someone is truly ill with a sv or fp or something, n* always comes with it. I know everytime my son has v*ed he's always told me beforehand that his tummy hurts or feels funny.
Your post got me thinking though---as if v*ing isn't awful enough, it would be even worse to do it without any warning whatsoever!

    Hi there!
You can v* without being n* beforehand, but I do believe it can be a sign of something more serious than a sv. I remember watching a video in my health class in college a few years back and it went over the whole process of v*ing. It covered situations when you should call the doctor, and if I recall correctly it said if v* without n* is experienced it may have an underlying cause and should be checked out. I don't recall what it said it could be exactly (heart problem, maybe??), and I hope I'm remembering this all correctly and not leading you down the wrong way!
All in all it does seem that MOST people feel n* beforehand, and don't just v* without any warning, so try not to worry about that so much. Plus, we emets really don't v*!
Hope this helps you feel better!
