I really hate it but i have IBS and i get nausea all the time. Especially when i'm having a day where i'm taken out my comfort zone a bit. Does anyone know of anything that might ease this constant nausea? Anything they have eaten that helps? I use relaxation tecniques but there's only so much that that can do. I've improved my diet, getting more excercise, i dont drink caffeine or alcohol (mostly coz i dont like them anyway) I also get it badly at certain times of the month. Only thing that i've noticed improve is the D*, only get that maybe twice a month now, rather than twice a week at least before. Not gonna write my whole story about all this here. Just any advice or tips would be great, or even if you just feel the same.

    Hey Katie,
Sometimes I get nauseas feeling wiht it too, mostly when it gets crampy around the "upper corners" of the large intestine (on either side of your stomach under the ribs), that can make me feel real awful when it does that. I know very much what you mean when you are outside your comfort zone, its harder definately. I guess tho for me its not constant, do you take Imm AD? Sometimes when I just dont wanna deal with br stuff I take it and it helps a lot. Do you take something more permanent for it (like a prescription med)?

It's not really the IBS that's the problem. I don't take meds, i used to reply alot on Immodium but found it did the total opposite and wasn't very pleasant the next few days so now i take a herbal homeopathy drops that i add to a glass of water and they do they same as immodium but less severe and i feel fine the day after. It's mostly a nausea related to hormone surges i think as its worse around certains times of the month, like just b4 my period and just b4 mid month. Sometimes it can last days and it's exhausting.

Well, i swore i was leaving this site, but after reading this...i had to respond to you...yeah, i get the same damn thing.....and it's totally exhausting....i have no idea what causes it either...but like you, i think it's hormone related...it's awful, sometimes lasting 2-3 days in a row.....the only that helps me is ginger root capsules...500 mg each. I take them as needed. I don't know what else to do, but feel your pain, b/c it's been happening to me for several years now.....and i'm so tired of it. But really there is nothing i can do about it...if you find help, let me know please!!!!!

I have found that ginger root works well to help with nausea. You can eat it, sniff it or put it in some tea (works best with chamomille tea). try it and let me know if it works for you.

I wish that I could help...I go through the SAME crap!! Literally!! Immodium helps me...one thing that realyl helps is peppermints. I suck on them after meals and such and they really help a lot. Another thing is a warm heat pack and put it on your stomach, it really seems to help the cramping and ease things up a bit. Sorry that I am not more help!!
We have got to be able to laugh at ourselves about this!!

Heh, I go through it, too. I don't think I really have IBS, but around the pms times of the months, I would totally SWEAR that I have it. I'm totally in love with immodium and ginger altoids to help me out. I wish I could be a better help, but I'm still looking for the answers, too.
