I was feleing weird all day Wednesday. Not bad, but not "right" either.

At work I popped a piece of gum in my mouth and after about 10 minutes my throat went numb! I freaked out. It then felt like it was constricting a bit.

    Has anyone ever experienced that?

And then I had another weird thing: About 11pm, my ears and neck started burning up, but I didn't have a fever! My ears were so hot I had to pull my haior back because it was uncomftable. But my forehead was cool and I took my temp (yes....I carry a thermometer on me....*sigh*) and it registered as normal temp.

What is going on with me??????

about you. how are you now??

Hmm I have had that feeling when I have like a panic attack, but not my usual one. I can say that because I fan my hands at my head.
Now on the other hand my husbad gets thehot ears and neck when he is REALLY tired. They go red and hot. Hehe its one of the ways I know he is tired even if he doesn't say so.
Do you have any allergies that you know of? I also get that numb throat, tingling tongue if I eat tomatoes, pineapple, creamy goat cheese and sometimes bananas.
Wish I could say for sure but these are the things where I have seen it happen. Hope you are feeling better now

Hmm sounds like you could be allergic to something in the gum? Its the only thing I can think of that would make your throat numb feeling and close up, unless it was like really strong spearmint/peppermint gum. That can kind of make you go "whoa!" when you first bite into it.

I wonder about the gum...it was spearmint, my favorite type, and it normally doesn't bother me!!! Weird, huh?
