Medication ugh

I started taking some anti-physcotic/depressent medication on tuesday, i was ok that night, and i had a stemetil along side it, because on of the side effects was v*. So then i had to take another one yesterday and since then i've felt really ill[img]smileys/smilies_11.gif[/img]. I have quite an upset stomach, and just keep feeling n*, do you think its form the medication?, as it ws a few hours after taking them? its does say on the side effects, n*, stomach ache, digestion problems, so im really thinking its that. It just feels awfull, because im still hungry, and i don't know to eat or not, but surely not eating will make it worse, as food will absorb it more?.

Sounds like it is the medication. The side effects shouldn't hang around too long - don't they usually go away after a few days? I think you should eat. I am very sensitive to meds and have to eat with everything - even tylenol.

Yeah I'm the same way as you marie, I have to eat with any pills I take. I think eating will actually help you abit Ruth cause it's meant to make pillsless harshon your stomach. I hope you feel better soon! Just do whatever your body's telling you to do.

Yes I agree, you need to eat....I had some other side effects from my zoloft (dry mouth, headache, depersonalization) but the only time they ever made me feel N* was when I took them on an empty stomach (it also gave d*!) SO you need to take them with food....it will help a lot I promise

Sorry you are feeling bad! Definitely take the meds with food, and that should help. When I started zoloft, it took a few weeks for my body to adjust, but now it's fine. Use the stemetil if you need to, that's what it's there for. Once you're used to the med, you won't have to take it alongside the antidepressant anymore. Good luck!

Hey, thank you for the replys[img]smileys/smilies_01.gif[/img]. Im feeling a little better, and i have ate normally[img]smileys/smilies_01.gif[/img], yeah, my stomach needs to get used to them, my doctor did say that when i start to increase the dose, i may get an upset stomach for a few days, but it will go off and i have my stemetil just incase, but im really trying not to use them[img]smileys/smilies_01.gif[/img], my dose increases again on saturday, which is birthday, and im going out for a meal, so i think i should take a stemtil before i go out, just in case i start to feel n*.

Good luck and I hope the medication works for you! I know that I still have to taje a xanax everyday to calm me down.....my tummy doesn't get upset which is good!

I had to increase it a bit more, then sunday im going to have to increase it again. I just don't think it likes me all to much lol, i came up in a rash last night, all over my chest, stomach and legs, and my stomach is still bad, but i had to take a stemetil in the end as i felt really n* and the n* went off in about 30 minutes, so then i could manage eating dinner. My brother took the same medicene as me before, but he had a much higer dose of it, and i remember him laying down shaking and having to stay in the bathroom as he kept nearly v*. But its really helping calm me down, and thats the main thing i guess, so hopefully my body will get used to it.
