Ugh
On and off all day I have felt SICK to my stomach and also not at all like eating, in fact food repulses me right now. That's what scares me the most is that I'm actively off my food because in my mind it = illness. I'm due on my period in the next few days and also I'm very stressed about a weekend away I have coming up next weekend.

How can I reduce mystress / feel better and also should I be worried that the thought of food makes me feel sick? I did eat earlier but my mum ordered pizza and the thought of eating it makes my stomach turn.

Am I ill?

Be courageous, believe in yourself, and be the best woman you can be. I'm with you all the way.

I dont think your sick hun...it sounds like period stuff and stress.
Can you take a warm shower or bath with lavender soap or oil to have
calm you? I would eat because it is better for you than not eating,
even if its just a little bit of safe food.
I love Sam

Hi there!!

I'm sorry you're feeling so awful. I think it definitely could be a stress/period combination. Stress can wreck havoc on the body, and that coupled with hormones can make you feel ill.
I've been feeling kind of off lately too, and I know it's because of my worrying so much about my husband issues and so forth, plus I'm on my period as well. I've actually had trouble eating, and find that I can only eat dinner lately so I definitely know how you feel!
What I've been doing to relax myself is just do things for ME.....for example, comforting things like bundling up in a blanket and watching a favorite movie, taking long baths, buying the perfume I've wanted forever---things like that. When we're stressed, we really need to take some time out and take care of ourselves.
As for not eating, is there anything that you really want to eat?? Something comfortable maybe? The only thing I wanted the other day was a Subway sandwich, and I couldn't bring myself to eat anything else, so I went out and got one and felt alot better afterwards.
Hope this helps you out a little---hope you feel better!!

Hey Hippy,

Sounds to me like period and stress too. As far as ways to relax, the most important thing to remember is the simplist. Breathe.. Sounds stupid, but it is what traps stress in the body the most. Concentrate on your breathing for 10-15 minutes, and it should regulate the rest of your bod too.

Hey Hippy, sorry you are feeling so poorly. Have you tried some plain soup? Maybe just some broth? The warmth might help and it will give you a little nourishment.

It's most likely stress, along with feeling a bit off because of the time of month. Try and get something in you - you will feel much better not having an empty tum, as Marie suggested try a bit of soup. I hope you are feeling better soon, and try not to worry too much about next weekend, you know what happens every time with us - we get all worked up about particularthings and then when it actually happens it's just fine and no way near as bad as we imagine it to be. It's certainly true that the anticipation of the event is always way worse than the actual event!
