I am on my first period in over a year. It is horrible! I forgot how miserable this time of the month is. So, on top of that, I feel really n*. I don't know why, but my stomach keeps gurgling and churning. I tried to eat a little dinner (hot dogs and baked beans, probably not the best choice). I didn't eat much because I wasn't that hungry. I hadn't eaten all day either, so I don't know why I wasn't hungry. Now the n* is getting to me. I don't know if it's part of my period or what, but I wish it owuld go away. I have no idea how long this period is going to last either. It's already day 5 or 6, but it's the first day it has been heavy. So I'm guessing it's going to be a long one to make up for lost time. Yuck. I feel terrible. I hope the n* is just from that and not anything else!

I know what you mean about the period thing. I didn't get one until my first child was 15 months old, and it was a whopper. I had forgotten how irritating periods can be! My second is 18 months, and still no period. Whee!!
I'll bet it's your period making you n*. My doctor told me that the hormones can mess with your digestive system. I hope you feel better soon. Maybe try some toast or crackers, and see if that helps.

I thought your periods were supposed to get better after you had a baby... I bet your next one will be FANTASTIC lol- something to look forward to.

I'm sure it is your period making you nauseous... Mine always does. I just finished my first one since I lost my baby...and it was awful, too. It kinda reminded me of morning sickness with the churning, and nausea. I hadn't had it like that before. So try not to worry too much, it's very likely it is your periods making you feel like that. Maybe try sipping some tea, and make sure you stay really hydrated. If you have any nausea tablets they'd probably help too. Other than that all you can do is wait it out... and eat bland foods like toast. I hope you feel better soon. Periods are the worst!

I would definately think its due to your period. Maybe after having a baby and you have a period your body is making up for all the period free time by giving you a real rotten one. Im not sure how that works, but even just normally having my period I can get that churny nausea and just lose my appetite for a couple days or so.

I feel so sick today. Last night was awful. I was up late helping my husband with a questionnaire he had to fill out for a job interview, so by the time I got to bed I only had 4 hours before I needed to get up for work. In that 4 hours I got up 3 times with d*. Yuck! I can't tell if I am n* now or getting a little hungry. I still have d* too. This period has been awful. I'm not kidding, it's been THREE times as heavy as normal (I've gone through three times as many "products" in one day than I used to). I'm a little worried that maybe it's too heavy. So far, yesterday was the only really bad day, so I guess I'll see how today goes. If it stays that bad, I may call the doctor. I've heard that sometimes it gets better after having a baby and sometimes it gets worse. It can get worse after your first, then better after your second, etc.or visa versa. So maybe I need to have another one . Actually, I wasn't going to go back on the pill until we are done having kids, but I just might in order to regulate my periods better. This sucks! The worst part is I have no sick time left at work, so I have to be here.

Advil never works for me. The only thing that works is Midol, but I have to take it immediately. If I wait too long after I start feeling bad, it doesn't really help. Of course, I waited too long this time. I also have a headache now and a sore throat. I hope I'm not getting sick on top of this. I don't know how I'm goingto make it through 10 hours at work today. I want to go home!

    Hey Sillygirl,
Aww being at work is the pits when you don't feel good. I am sorry that you're feeling so bad. You may wanna talk to your doc and tell her/him your concerns, I'm not sure how normal it is to have it really heavy after having a baby.

Oh, this sounds horrible. I hope it gets better for you. I'm sure your not feeling well all because of your period. I know when I went off the pill, I could believe how horrible it was. I would try to eat a little something though, it might help. Hope you feel better soon.

Just give your body a little time to regulate itself. That could take up to six months. Remember, your hormones just took a nose dive a few months ago!

Ugh the joys of womanhood. I agree to call your doctor if you're concerned. The n tho is very likely your period andthe changes. Must;ve been so nice to not have one for so long *sigh* lol Hang in there.

It was VERY nice not to have one. You really get used to it! It lightened up a lot yesterday, and by the afternoon I felt better (just really tired). I only have to work 1/2 day today, so I am looking forward to going home and relaxing - maybe a little nap!

Hey Sillygirl, I just wanted to let you know that at least for me, the first period after my daughter was born was no fun, but after that one, they were easier than they have ever been. I hope that is the case for you.

I really hope the same happens with me! This has been miserable. It's better now (although I am on day 9!) and I hope it's over soon. We want to maybe start trying again in like 4 or 5 months, so I'll probably just deal with it rather than going back on the pill.
