Hi there!!

I completely agree with you---I feel much better when I'm out and about as opposed to sitting home doing absolutely nothing. It seems like when I'm just laying around I worry more and feel more anxious, but when I'm out having fun I don't think about it as much.
That's exactly why I make sure I go out, even if I have to force myself!

I have really bad emet but I am always out and about. I just stay away from places like Chuck E Cheese in the winter.

I like to stay in when i'm with my boyfriend and stuff but i'm always out during the day, it's certain places at night when the drunks can be about that i avoid. Anyone else the same or is it just me?

Well, I do like to be home, but I don't usually just sit and worry at home, I like to sew and do projects. Shopping isn't really my thing tho.

I love going out. Emet can never stop me from getting fresh air. The only time in the world when I dread leaving the house is for school. I'm always in a state of panic because I'm afraid of getting sick or somebody else in my class getting sick (happened once already). My dad practically has to drag me by my ankles to class. =/

Yep, I love going out! I am a rare emet in that I actually LIKE to go out and be with people if I feel sick/anxious! It gets my mind off things!

I like to go out. It takes my mind off of my emet. Unless I'm in a really crowded place, then I start to panic a little.

I like to go out. It helps take my mind off things. I feel a little "contaminated" afterwards, but I think the more we stay in and hide, the worse it is.
I am very selective about where I take my children, though, since they are always sticking their hands in their mouths. No McDonald's Playland for them! My cousin had a really gross experience there, and I haven't trusted those places since!

I love shopping, and i will go out whenever i can...but i do feel
"contaminated" after words, like my bf and i are not allowed to touch
the bed until we shower and put the clothes in the closet so i dont
have to see it..is that bad? I love to go out...its just been awhile
because i dont have time...but i do have my bfs friend over...and that
is always a challenge..i get scared of him in our shower and
bathroom..am i crazy or other people clean it after someone elses uses
your potty?

I like to go out with a lot if i can, so long as i am feeling ok. If i start
panicing or not feeling well then i would much rather be at home where
i am more comfortable. But if i am feeling ok and i have a free day I
would rather be outside with my friends where i don't think so much
about getting s*

eww I've had bad experiences as well, as a child. I've known kids who've actually taken a dunk in there.... ugh, nasty.

I like to go out most of the time but with my unpredictableanxiety attacksand this eme problem that I have had my whole life, it can also cause me to stay in most times ( I feel bad for my boyfriend but I will talk to him about this now that there is indeed a phobia for my problem). Everytime I go out with friends, I always feel n* for a few minutes ( shopping or worse, eating)and then I go to the bathroom and try and breath out. I sometimes get dizzy. When I am out, I cannot finish my food. I always want to know where the bathroom is and I hate when restaurants have one stall bathroom.I used to be so carefree and went everywhere on the trains, buses, long walks. now I am scared to do anything unless I have my car so I can hide and if I v*, I have bags..I really hate this.

That little girl of yours is adorable by the way!! And I love going out, too... I just always make sure I know where everything is, just in case I need to make a mad dash! My husband is more of the stay at home type, which is nice sometimes too, but sometimes I just need to get out and get my mind off things! But I also understand what Viva said, I like being at home where the comfort level is much more.

I go out at least once a day to the mall downtown. I like it there, and I don't mind going other places with my sister, like to the movies and so fourth. I like taking the train places and seeing things and people. Also there's a hotel attached to the mall here, actually 2, and they are both 5 Star hotels so you never know when you are going to see a famous person (I've met a few, too bad they aren't the celebrities that I worship LoL) Anyway it doesn't bother me to go out, but when I'm home I don't really worry about my emet too much, as long as I'm doing something else like writing or something.

I totally agree with you. When It hink about it..the times that my emet is really bad, is when im sitting at home with nothing to do and just think about it all the time. and I use to be agoraphobic. So it was really bad a few years ago when I coudlnt leave the house and I would just feel worse b.c. I thought about it all the time. I try to leave as much as I can now and keep myself busy so I dont have to think about it.

I like walking in the freash air very much. But I hate being in close
places like university, supermarkets and something like that. In
general, I prefer being out during Summer and Spring, and being in
during Fall and Winter.

I like to go out but not to parties or crowded places like the mall. I do all my Christmas shopping online to avoid that stuff.
