I've been on vacation overseasfor a week now and things were going great. I was actually going to bed at a normal time, eating 3 meals a day (even weird things from tiny out of the way restaurants), and not being obsessive about everything.

That ended about 2 hours ago. My tummy had been gassy and gurgly earlier before dinner, but I ignored it and ate anyway. I had a cup of coffee and about an hour later my stomach started feeling hot and gurgly. Then I started getting super n* and feeling like something wasclimbing up my throat. I started shaking and pacing. I woke up my bf who was sleeping and interrogated him, to see if maybe I have fp. We ate the same things all day and he is fine. One ofour other friends who is on the trip is fine too. So I know it isn't the food.

Anyway, I had a normal bm but I still feel a little n* and my throat is hot, has a lump in it, and occasionally feels tingly/numb.

I'm totally frekaing outand I am totally pissedbecause I really thought that my emet wassort of cooling down a bit.Now I am terrified. What is going on with me?!?!

If I could guess, it is an anxiety attack...you might just be worrying a bit extra. Can you get some fresh air? That always seems to help me!

I would be surprised if you were actually s*...I'm sure that your mind is just on overload.

Try to relax and breathe. You will be just fine!!!

I was also thinking it could be acid reflux. The coffee was super strong (and super good) and that may have just sort of pushed me over the edge.

And my anxiety is at about a 35 on a scale of 1 to 10 right now.

    Thanks for responding!

It sounds like bad acid reflux from thecoffee.Maybe the coffee and other food you ate just didn't settle in well together. Ihave had this same reaction but with hot chocolate ( every so often, this happens at night).I ended up taking Rolaids vanilla chews and boy, was that a lifesaver. It stopped the n* and gurgliness. Hope you can find some there. I just hate that chalky taste on tonguein the morning but it beats staying up all night feeling anxiety and n*.If not, maybe if you can get soda and let it get a bit flat but still be able to burp some of it. It's funny but I wake up my boyfriend, too if I feel n*. I guess it's always the worry of dying from v* or something.

It sounds like reflux to me. It can be really scary to wake up to. Try some antacids and see if that doesn't help.
