Off and on Sharp pain

For about 3 hours now, I have had this really sharp quick pain that is in my stomach. It happens probably 20 times in a minute and is very painful. I have no clue what it could be. I was thinking maybe gas...but that is usually a pain that doesn't come and go like this. I have taken some peptmo but it doesn't seem to be working. I am starting to get a little nervous about it. Anyone experience anything like this?

Could it be a muscle spasm? Thats what it sounds like it could be to me.
