Does anyone else ever feel slightly nauseated with strep throat?

I have strep throat and i've been taking the antibiotics for it .. but I feel kinda nauseated and I was wondering if anyone else feels kinda nauseous when they have sore throats .. ?

My daughter does with strep. The swelling of the troat and high fever can make some people gaggy and even a little n*ed. You should take some Dramamine for that and that will help you and because it is an antihistamine it will cut down on the excess mucus in your throat that causes gagging.

That is easy to controll! Good luck!

I had strep throat years ago, and was feeling n* until the antibiotics kicked in, which took a day or two. I know it's unpleasant but it is normal. My advice is to drink lots of fluids and take some ginger--you should be on the mend soon

I had very badstrep throat late March of this year and surprisingly wasn't that n*.When I was in the ER and they gave me the steroids, and IV for it, I felt so much better (plus later on the antibiotics). You will be fine!! The good thing about strep is that it can be cured because it is bacterial, not viral! So you'll be feeling better in no time.I think maybe you need to try and drink some fluids ( water, juices) and maybe eat some crackers to help keep something in your stomach so the antibiotic doesn't mess up your stomach. GOOD LUCK!

Is Dramamine an anti-emetic? I'm scared to take anti-emetics because they always make me feel weird and half-stoned haha. I used to take SO much gravol and I was taking it daily on the hour for weeks .. Untill I came to my senses and weaned myself off of it ..

Yeah, Dramamine is wonderful, and it makes you very sleepy! I bought some once when I was in the States and the next two days were a blur. I was a kid when I last had strep throat, but I don't remember feeling n*. Is it possible that it's the antibiotics that are making you feel sick!
