When someone around you or in your extended family is sick and they tell you about it, do you get pissed that they told you and wonder why they did- but also get pissed when you suspect they are sick, but not telling you the whole story? I am so like this and I hate it.

My little sister is home sick. She's got a 102 fever, headache, chills and body aches. I've asked if she's vomited and she and my mom have both told me no. But I keep catching them saying things that sound like they have caught themselves almost telling me she's vomited. I get mad thinking they are not telling me, but if they called me and said 'Corie's vomiting' I would be pissed about that, too. What do I expect from people? It's like I want them to be honest but only if I am ready or on my terms. That's just not fair.

    Anyone else like this?

When someone in my family tells me they've been sick, I get disappointed in them. I'm not exactly sure why. It's like they let me down or something.

Well, to be honest I'd rather the person feel better and be sick (but so I don't have to like hear or watch it) than hold it in and be misreable for me. Then again my emet isn't that bad, I mean it does get to me but its not as bad as it used to be.

Actually, surprisingly I'm not that way. Anger or resentment is the last thing I feel; instead, I just start to compulsively swamp them with questions. Though concerned for their well-being, I'm more concerned for myself, but they usually take it the other way. The onlyway I do get angry is eitherby my Mom or Dad, because they're basically the only ones who know about my problem, so from time-to-time they tend to tease about it, just for fun (even when they're not really sick ).

I grill sick people for information, too. I immediately start counting how many days it's been since I've had contact with them, and how many days I have to get through v*-free before I'm in the clear, I ask them where they've been and what they've touched that I might have touched...it goes on and on!
