I know there's alot of prescriptions out there to help with anxiety and panic attacks, but does anyone out there know of any herbal remedies that work as well as meds? Because of my job I cannot take anything that would make me drowsy or have any side effects that may interfere with my duties, and I'm having a tough time finding anything that could work.

I take Rescue Remedy twice a day but for me it doesn't seem to work as well as I'd like. I think I've just been more stressed out lately because of the holidays and starting a new job soon, but I hate having this anxiety!! Ugh....

I've been seeing a therapist and he really doesn't seem to be helping much really. I've asked him this same question and he thinks herbal remedies are "all in your head". Not to mention he keeps trying to prescribe me things like benzodiazapines and I've told him repeatedly that I cannot take them.

Any thoughts on this would be wonderful. Thanks!!!

just a quick thought...if emet and anxietyis rooted "in our head" then wouldn't taking something that helps "in our head" calm the panic?

That said...I don't really know of any herbal stuff. But I say research it...and try some of them. It's better than worrying, right?
