Ok, it all started Tursday or Wednesday at work. I thought that someone at work was ill in the bathroom. I don't even know for SURe if someone was. I just thought that maybe someone WAS. Then the next day, my boyfriend tells me that some of his family (who live almost an hour from here) had started getting sick. Since then, I haven't been able to calm down. We went to a party last night and of course being sick came up as a topic of conversation because everyone knows someone who has had IT.

My boyfriend wasn't feeling well last night. Feverish and stuff. Now he says his tummy is upset. He blames it on stress...He had a rough interview yesterday and has been stressing about it since. So he thinks THAT'S why he doesn't feel all there today.

I've barely been able to eat anything since Wednesday or Thursday. Just not hungry. I get hungry, but food just does NOT appear appealing right now when I go to make anything. I'm just sticking to bland stuff if I eat anything at all.

Ugh, not to m ention my period is coming up and you know how fun THAT can be with anxiety.

This is all so familiar to me. I've been here before. I just can't take it anymore. I feel insanely alone.

I'm so scared. Scared to eat, scared to leave the house. I'm just scared of getting sick. Edited by: melissarene

Well, everyone I know seems to be coming down with IT. And now my boyfriend is feeling super n* and it's driving me buggy. I hope he didn't pick something up at this party we went to this weekend. Everyone there seemed to have recently gotten over the bug and I'm SOOOO freaked out. I feel rotten rotten rotten.

I need to make myself eat something. I'm hungry, but as I said, I just can't are the thought of eating....I'm afraid he'll come down with something, then I'll come down with something and I'll end up v* it right back up.

I know I'm being irrational here...What are the safest things to eat, you think?Edited by: melissarene

I would just stick with bland stuff...easy, safe stuff...Toast, Potatoes, stuff like that.

Does your boyfriend have other symptoms? Could it just be a cold or sinus funk because that stuff is going around also. It's possible that he is feeling n* from phlegm...or did he drink too much? Figure out all of this before you know it's a sv*.

Try to relax and I am here if you need to talk.

Well, he never got sick or anything. But didn't feel good all yesterday and last night. If it was an SV he would've gotten ill by now, I guess. I now am trying to work hard to get myself out of this horrible mindset. I may call my EAP today (employee assistance program) to talk to a counselor. Mabye get a referral for one, I don't know. The only thing I ate yesterday was a bagel, a little bit of dinner that I cooked and some veggie chips. I started freaking out this morning, though, because of the ecoli breakout with green onions at Taco Bell. Michigan isn't even a state under that recall and I made dinner last night with green onions in it. YIKES!

I made it to work somehow, but it's not been a very good day so far and I hope I make it through.

I have been a little on edge about the Ecoli thing also...But I still have been eating things with green onions and all sorts of other vegetables...Try to relax, You are fine...I am glad that your boyfriend is fine...If it was a sv*, he would have been sick...I am proud that you made it to work today and just try to get your mind off of this...Everytime that one of the thoughts creeps into your mind, demand it to leave you the hell alone...Immediately tell yourself that you will not listen to it because it is irrational and you don't accept irrationality. You can do it...You can make it through and you will make it through the day...

Think positive and think happy thoughts...Just imagine you getting off work and plan something relaxing tonight.

    Hang in there.
