Hi all,

I am bringing my daughter to a Disney On Ice event. As with EVERYTHING my daughter does outside of this house - I am a little nervous about this trip because of my emet. I HATE THIS! This is exactly where emet steals my life. I should be excited. I remember being excited about outings.

Well - is there any advice from mommies - or daddies out there who are a paranoid as me about our children getting sv when out in public?

I am bringing along the basic gear - Purell Gel, Purell Wipes, A blow Torch (only kidding).

    TIA

I have taken my daughter to dozens of children's events like that. She loved Disney Princesses on Ice. My favorite was the Dora the Explorer one...she was soupset because Boots was as big as Dora-"mom, he's a monkey. monkeys are small. why is he so big? i am scared of the monkey."

Which one are you going to? Try not to worry...I have never seen any v* at any of the ones I've been to, and we've not caught anything while we were there. Be forewarned, though~the souviners are adorable and very expensive. Your daughter will want them. You will take out a second mortgage to pay for them. You won't regret it. You will have more fun than you could've thought possible. Oh-and you will definitely feel like a kid again. Enjoy!Edited by: nicki77

Oh my gosh we went and it was so much fun!! It is cold though. If it makes you feel any better have her wear mittens or gloves. Trust me she will need them. I hope you have a great time!!!

I am very paranoid too, but you will be fine. I have gone to several performances with my daughter and we never got sick. Just go and have a good time!

Ooh, that sounds like fun! I am constantly worried when I take my kids out, so I feel your pain, but just try to have a good time, and clean their hands before they eat anything.

    Thanks everyone!

Just reading your responses, I am getting excited!

We are going to "Disney's 100 Years on Ice". Elizabeth (my daughter) is extremely excited because Woody and Buzz from Toy Story will be there, as well as Mickey and his gang, Mulan, and The Lion King.

OK, I am really starting to look forward to this now.

Oh - the little toys they sell? I know about those prices! Wow! If they have Woody dolls, I'm in trouble - currently Elizabeth is peeing on the potty in hopes of earning a Woody doll. She is 2.5 years old.

I'll let you guys know how we did! Thanks again!

Yeah, just make sure her hands are sanitized before she eats anything. She wil be fine and it will be a great memory for her! Don't let her touch the seat backs (as many kids do) since people tend to put their nasty shoes on them .
