Oh no, boyfriend is sick this time!

Hi all, my boyfriend is now sick and has a tummy bug. He texted me this morning to say he's not well and in bed, got the runs, was nearly sick in the night and has a bucket at the side of his bed just incase. So far he hasn't V*d as yet but he feels like doing. I am supposed to be seeing him tomorrow night, what if he comes out and he's not got rid of the bug then? If he's not well enough to come out tomorrow then I am seeing him on Saturday - surely the bug will have gone by then? If he is well enough tomorrow I don't want to put him off coming to meet me but I dread getting this bug from him. Please help!

Sorry to hear about your boyfriend. I hope that he is on the mend soon. But I have to say that personally I would not see him tomorrow no matter how he is feeling. I believe that a person can still be contagious for at least 48 hours after they are "feeling better". Maybe I am wrong but I would tend to err on the side of safety or health in this matter.


That being said -- he should not be contagious if you can wait and see him on Saturday.


Not helpful I know. If you do decide to see him tomorrow I would avoid any personal contact - LOL. But again, that's just me.

Yes, I agree, I would wait until at least Saturday, and if it were me, I would say " see you NEXT Friday [img]smileys/smilies_02.gif[/img]. Just kidding but I use 48 hours as a rule of thumb.

Thanks for your replies, it is hard when you really want to see someone but I don't want to be on edge incase I get the bug from him. My guess is he may feel too weak to venture out tomorrow anyway.
