I was on Ortho Cyclen for years, and then got switched to the generic. (It's been about 7 yrs total on that or the generic)
First week I was *very mildly* queasy, like not even queasy enough to pop an antacid. I take it right before bed, so I'd just go to sleep and it didn't bother me. After that I've been fine. No problems whatsoever. I've taken it on a completely empty stomach, with food, with a sv, never caused any issues at all. In fact, before I went on bc I used to get really bad "morning sickness" EVERY MORNING, and I don't get that anymore. So really, it's made my chronic n* better! Edited by: wargerbil

I don't want to scare you, so I'll just say right off that my mom had bad reactions to the tri-cycline... I didn't like it much =/ I switched to the NuvaRing (I had to be put on birth control because random cysts kept popping up on my ovaries). I LOVE the NuvaRing. If you're okay with touching yourself, like a tampon, it's just this little ring you put up in you. Since it doesn't get absorbed by your stomach, there is a much less chance of you feeling n*. But also, taking it with food might help with the pill too, I've heard. And drink some water. I haven't heard of any of my friends having n* Good luck! I'm sure you'll be fine.
