I like the film database here, but it sometimes is lacking in newer films, as people need time to view them and THEN post their experiences with it.

However, I've used a couple of sites that have helped me decide whether a movie (new or old) is right for an emeto like myself.

kids-in-mind.com - Provides total Blow-by-Blow details about the movie, telling all the details about everything sexual, swearing words, violent, or gory about the movie. (Including v*)

commonsensemedia.org - If you can't find a film on kidsinmind, you might be able to find it here, but it's not as in depth. However, it gives info about TV shows as well, and even video games!

I hope this helps some people. It sure has helped me!

That's awesome - I didn't know about those 2. Thanks for posting them!

The place I always check movies before I watch them is www.screenit.com. It looks like you have to pay, but that's just for the fancy version - scroll down to the bottom of the page and click "No thanks" and you can search for a movie. It lists v* under blood/gore.

And welcome to the forums, too!

Has anybody noticed that Jay Leno/Tonight Show is really bad lately for showing clips of people and animals vomiting? I guess it's funny but I'm sort of tired of it...

Yeah, if screenit or kidsinmind doesn't have the movie, I check IMDB where it lists all of the different keywords for the movie.

If I can't get the information for the movie any of those ways, I get it and have my boyfriend watch it first when I'm not home. Good friends are always willing to do a screening

I'm glad you like the links guys. ^_^ I'll check out screenit too. I never go see a movie without first seeing what's in it online.

yeah sage, the Tonight show is pretty bad. I've had to leave the room for a couple clips. It's a shame cause I would like to watch it, but I just can't with the things they show...

I have PVR (like TVO) and so I forced myself to watch this clip of a groom vomiting at his own wedding. I watched it like 10 times. Then the last time I sort of laughed. I noticed that the audience absolutely cracked up at the clip. Amazing how something we find so fearful and/or disgusting is so completely hilarious to most "normal" people!

I watch a lot of reality tv...and they are notorious for showing things like that. I always get worried when they show people drunk/drinking and I'll have my hand on the ff button.
