Hi, I am a returning user, hoping someone can give me some information, warts and all.

I have been put on Citalopram for work-related depression (all other elements of my life absolutely fine!) and I don't think I can face taking it until I can get a bit more reassurance about the side-effects, in particular nausea / sickness. The problem is, I have to get onto it within the next couple of days so that the doctor can monitor me for a fortnight before I go back to work and I can't be off work for much longer.

My doc is very sweet and claims to understand about emet but when I asked him whether this drug could cause me problems he said "Well, it's not unheard of but it's not the most common side-effect and any nausea or sickness would probably wear off within a fortnight, you'd only need to do something about it if it became a problem".

HAHAHAH! They really don't get it, do they? "If it became a problem"?!! - so you mean there are people out there who are quite happy to tolerate that?!
