Hmm.... I'd like to ask a question. Do any of you avoid trying a new product because you are afraid that it won't react to your body well (you know....stomach)? This is how I feel right now. See, I wanted to try Ore-Ida Frozen Microwavable French Fries. I did try them and they did taste good and I'm not very afraid because, if they tested them with food tasters and those kind of people, and the fries were passed to put on the market, they would be okay, right? But, I'm a little afraid, even though I did only eat a few of them becuase I do not know how new products will react. I have eaten products by this company before, but none of which the directions said to microwave. I know this is stupid, but I am kind of scared. Thank you for reading my stupid post.

I don't think it was a stupid post. I do the same thing
sometimes. I certainly don't want to be a guinea pig for some dumb
corporation that might make a slew of people sick from their "new
product" I wait til it's been out a while before I try it.

Here's a good example. Lays potato chips had a new chip
out that contained olestra(some kind of new oil they were fried
in) Well, when some people tried these chips they were getting
stomach cramps, and diarrhea. I'm glad I wasn't one of those
    people.

You'll be fine.. Was it oreida microwave fries?

As for medicines. I've been taking anti-depressants for 9 friggin'
years..prozac in particular. Noone told me that this drug has
only been on the market for 10-11 years.

Well, now I believe I have neurological problems from prozac. Man, if I
could turn back the hands of time, I never, ever would've taken that
drug. I'm currently on Lexapro, but the damage is done

Everyone!! be careful what you put inside your body.

Yeah....it was the OreIda Microwavable fries. They are called OreIda Easy Extra Crispy Fries or something. They are apparently new to where I live. I do not think they would use any weird oil or anything to make it possible for them to be microwavable, but there would be no way of knowing that. I am not sick, but it has only been, like, 3 hours since I have eaten them. It seems that if they use a different oil in them or something, I would already be having trouble from them becuase it isn't like food poisoning.

Oreida had always been a product that I've
purchased. I think fries are pretty safe. It's meat I'm worried
about. I never, ever want to get food poisoning.

Once, my husband and son got sick on papa john's sausage pizza. Yuck! I'm glad I didn't have any.

I'm sure they use regular old oil in their microwave fries.

    Have a good day

    Hey Lizzy,
thats not a silly post - i sometimes think similar things with new food products - like wil my body like what im putting in! i tend to just stay away from chilli/salsa stuff for reasons i wont go into here - we all can imagine im sure!

But im sure with fries you will be fine. potatoes are pretty safe im sure - and if they are microwaveable then wont they be pre-cooked anyway - to a certian extent?
