Hey Miriam!

Yeah periods definately really suck. I wish I could make it only mebe a few times a year instead of every month. What would be really cool is to just turn it on when you want kids, then turn it off every other time. That would be great.

Just a note on all this... when I was 17, I had to go on birth control pills because my periods were so bad like that, I would get nauseated and be in terrible pain. The pill cured all that, and in fact I'm afraid to go off incase I'd just go back to that same cycle of pain. You'd mentioned wanting to get it like 4 times a year and they make a new pill like that. If every month you get sick, it's a legitimate condition that can be helped with the pill.... so you do have options if you ever wanted to go there.

Yeah I've heard of that pill! Im ok with my period, its just a nuisance of course, but its not as bad as your describing yours was.

I am kinda nauseas tonight tho, its like the 3rd nite of it, and I would think I wouldn't feel nauseas now, but mebe somettimes it lasts thro the period. It seems like when I lay down I feel nauseas.

Hey guys (well girls i guess hehehehe!!)

Well, i would have to be the queen of bad periods.... i have been taken to emergency about 3 times bent over and unable to move because of the pain i suffer throughout the entire period, the amount of blood too is astronomical! I hate it so much, on top of that my cycle when i am off the pill is that irregular that i can have something that ranges from 14 days to 50 days and then to top it all off i can bleed anywhere from 10 to 50 days straight!!!! Man it sucks to be me when i have a period!!!

But on the whole pill topic.... i have been to that many specialists and they all agree that skipping a period now and then doesn't do you any harm, but in my case i get to skip as many as i possibly can!!! It is to do with the mono - pill, basically the same type of hormone tablet all month, it will not work with those pills that have more than one hormone type tablet. I am on other meds as well to help this out, but basically i get to go about 4 months without a period YAY, i have to have only one a year, but i like to have about 3, just to make sure everything is still there.....

so basically i am just letting you know, that i know exactly how you feel..... and i can sympathise with you, on so many levels!!!

    lots of love

Really dont worry about feeling ill when you have your period. I suffered in this way for 8 years and some months would be worse than others. Would get into a panic each month, which probably made matters worse. From the replies of others, it looks like we are not alone.

On the subject of the pill, I have taken mono pills for 12 years and quite often I skip the odd period. I find that for once I have some sort of control on my body - before periods were heavy, irregular, and painful, but now they are much lighter and more often than not, as regular as clockwork.

    Take care

Wow S.a.l.! You poor thing! Man that must have been absolutely awful. I've heard of women who get their periods and its very painful. Man, its good you can be on the pill like that!!

Sarah, yeah the pill is a good idea for sure in some cases! It gives you poor girls relief who get real bad periods. Mine aren't really bad, just some of the stuff that comes along with them can be annoying. Who knows tho, maybe I'll go on the pill sometime myself, it must be nice to not have such bad periods, and to have fewer!
