Hey,
Ive got up to the higher catagories in the exposure therapy thing, i just wanted to ask a quick question, do u think its alright that im doin more than one picture at once? i mean, they dont bother me that much so im able to look at more than one on one day kind of thing, do u think it matters how many i do just aslong as im getting used to the pictures and calming my anxiety while lookin at them? dont wanna make myself worse u see, but i dont feel like i am so...im a bit puzzled as to what to do! Any advice wud be appreciated!

i shudnt thjink it matters hw many u look at within what time period as long as ur making sure the previous picture doesnt make u flustered in NE way.

maybe wen u return u shud repeat a couple of the pictures before to just check that the anxiety has really gone.

WTG. I think as long as you are comfortable with it then moving on isn't going matter. I jumped pretty quick as well because i figured if it didnt bother me then I might as well move on and work on the ones that were starting to make me uncomfotable and work from there.

Just make sure you can look at the one picture with absolute BOREDOM - no anxiety whatsoever, before you move on. (If not, you may have a "setback" at some point).

I kept a journal or "log" with the name of the picture at the top and the numbers from one to ten or something down the left side. Each time I looked at the picture I rated a) my anxiety b) my feelings of disgust/nausea on a scale of 0-10 where 0 is no disturbance and 10 is too overwhelming to continue. Same with the movies (where the numbers denoting the times watched went from 1-100!). I made sure the number for anxiety was 0, and the number for disgust was 1 or <1 before moving on. (I discovered for me personally that disgust could never go to 0 - and I think from my research that this is a human instinct, so it's ok.)
