hey everyone, i was just wondering whether any of you completely freak out when food repeats on you.
I have spent the whole summer avoiding foods which repeat, and yesterday i just thought " sod it " and ate a sandwich with crisps ( wow! )
Anyways, I only ate bread once in 6 weeks, and I had a bad night a month go after some crisps, so i decided to ignore these things amongst many others, surprisingly, I was fine.
Some foods i ignore include; bread, crisps, bananas, cereal bars, cereals, wafer biscuits, chocolate, cucumber, mince meat, pastry, and some cheese lol. This seems so pathetic, but i always think " if im going to be sick, i don't want to have eaten these things beforehand "
Im so fed up of this, do any of you restrict your diets because of emet/ other food concerns?

I find that if I'm in a stage of "panic" and its been going on a while, my stomach is out of whack along with the panic so I tend to be more sensitive with food, but usually if I'm doing good I can eat pretty much anything. The only thing I haven't touched in over 1 year is pasta & pizza, because the last time I ate those things I had a bitch to digest them and had horrible panic attacks, but thays great for me, less carbs!!!!!

try to keep a food diary if you'd like and see when these "repeats" happen and see if there's a connection to the stressful points in your life, could be really interesting!

sorry! lol- no i mean, you know when you burp, and you get a really distinct taste of what you just had to eat? Some people don't mind this but i find it really unpleasant.
That's a good idea Sonia, I'll try it. I've never experienced reflux, so i doubt that this is similar.

Ohhh. Now I get it. I hardly ever burp. I'm lucky to burp once a month. NO LIE. I hiccup a lot though but never get the taste of food unless I actually burp. It is nasty and scary probably because I hardly ever burp.

I am mildly garlic intolerant - if I eat too much of the stuff (and I love it!), it makes me feel REALLY ill - genuine nausea with the shaking, cold sweats, alternate dry mouth/over production of saliva and the struggle to swallow! So far, I have managed to keep within my limit and it's not made me v*, but I know it could. Trouble is, it has a cumulative effect - it stays in my system for a few days, so a little each day over a few days adds up to too much and makes me feel ill. I hate food intolerances!!

    Best wishes, Jill xxx

I only avoid milk because it makes me feel extremely sick. I had onion on Saturday which repeated for the rest of the day but it doesn't bother me - I like a good burp!</font>Edited by: Scattycat

lol- i wish i had this attitude towards belching..i tend to burp lots
I'm sorry you're garlic intolerant Scampi, buton the plus side, you may save yourself a packet on breathmints.
Onion is a git when it comes to repetition. I'm seriously considering having a food intolerance test because it feels as though everything repeats on me.
This may sound seedy and pathetic, but i find it soo unpleasant, especially before i go to bed or in school.
When did you discover that you had food intolerances?
I used to like milk, but it's really filling, good for acid though..
