Zpak and N*

I went to the doc with an extreme sore throat on the right side as well as right ear pain. I also have sneezing and a runny nose and have been diagnosed today with an upper respiratoty infect and an ear infection in my right ear. I have chills and I am n* and I don't know if it's due to the antibiotic Z-pak that they put me on or not? Plus they did a test for mono which I will fnd out tomorrow. I am scared!! I need Prayer and Help!!!!thanks

Hey there. I've used Azithromycin which is the antibiotic in Zpack long term for acne about 8-9 years ago. I never had any n* or v*ing with it. I think it's pretty well tolerated by most. What you have will either be a bacterial or viral infection probably not mono, but I've had them before lots of nausea and loss of appetite but no v*ing. Its hard on your body you really need to check out for a day or two or three and take it very easy, try hard to rest and not worry.

The inner ear infection can definitely make you n*. Z-Pak has never made me feel n* or v*. Do you have any anti-emetics, meclizine would probably be helpful if it's an inner ear/balance issue that is making you n*.
