Eww mouldy food!

Okay so i was at school. At break i brought a sausage roll from the canteen. When I took a large bite, it tasted like there was mould in the pastry! I took a bit out and there was a green trace in it. EWWW! I wish id taken it all out but (idiot that i am!) I swallowed the bite in my mouth! I chucked the rest away though. But now im freaking out!! Its so annoying. their food is normally fine and today and just by the luck, MY sausage roll lol was mouldy!!!

mould is one of those things i tend not to worry about, ok yeah its dangerous if its been there 4 a week or sumthin, but small amounts of mould dont harm the body, infact they are quite useful bcos it boosts the immune system if u have it in a small dose like u did today, also if the sausage roll was hot then its deffo sumthin not to worry about. ull be absolutely fine ) xxxx

Gosh that sounds like a scarry experiance. I too have heared that mould is actually quite good for you. I'm sure that its not going to give you any poisioning or anything like that. Try not to think about it too much (although thats easier said than done) as if you panic you'l probably start to imagine that you are ill - even if your not.


If it helps I ate a mouldy grape once and I was fine!


Anyway I'm sure it will be ok - try not to think about it too much

Well you didn`t sound to me like you were panicing or anything so I`m sure you got over it quick enough, and yeah a little mold doesn`t hurt!!!!

but MOULD IN THE CANTINE FOOD?!?!?! thats AWFUL!!! u shud get that noticed!! i wudnt trust them again!!

Well the mould had no effect on me which is good! Although im not going to eat any of their hot food again. today i took in one of those like ready made meals because i always eat them and trust them not to have mould in! I'll do the same again tomorrow and if i have enough guts i'll go back to the canteen (wont be having a sausage roll though soon enough lol!)

blech yeah mold tastes gross. I hate when that happens. It took me forever to trust food at a gas station because of the same thing. It is just that sometimes 1 slips by after the new stuff comes in and it isn't rotated. The same thing can happen at the canteen.
Though I am sure that it will still take some time to trust them again.
