Okay, In my 7th period class, which is Algebra, and my last class for the day, I found out that one of my classmates for that class had vomited at lunch and went home. I didn't panic that much. I got a little shakey, but I didn't go into a full panic attack, like I usually do. Well, anyways, I do not have all my classes with this kid and really didn't have any contact with him, so do you guys think I'll catch anything? I'm not sure if he had anything, but I do not know.

That sucks, I hate the feeling of not knowing, and feeling so helpless and scared.

I think you'll be alright, try to get some rest, take your vitamins, like you said...you didn't have any contact with the person, so you'll most likely be fine. And also, they may not have been sick with a stomac flu...who knows.
.I just want to feel safe in my own skin. I just want to be happy again. I just want to feel deep in my own world. But I’m so lonely I don’t even want to be with myself. <3

Its really tough when your surrounded by ppl who are sick and its hard to know what they really have, maybe this kid in your class ate something bad or maybe he ate too fast, there are a million reason why and we always assume the one! So I don`t think you should worry too much about it, and even if he did have a bug, your probably not going to get it, especially if you are careful.

Think about it, alot of kids at school get sick alot rightÉ Why`s thatÉ Cause they`re not careful. They don`t wash their hands, they share drinks and food and smokes and don`t give a hoot, thats why so many get sick, they just share so much and its gross really!!!!

Your in the clear, I`m sure!

I totally agree terrified girl. Kids in school just arnt careful. They dont wash there hands before they eat and eat from the tables etc etc. Its really nasty.

But aslong as you're carefull its pretty hard to get a bug (if it was a bug -- it may be something he ate) just from walking past him.

Try to relax and not think about it to much. You only had very little contact with him and I'm sure that thinking about it will only make the situation worse

    Take care

you should be OK - as terified girl said (i think) people are gnna be having a lot of contact with this person, and still wont get ill.

try not to worry about it.

I wash my hands of course! But I agree with you, terified girl, that kids in school aren't that careful. I'm am exception for people at my school, though, of course. Whether they have emetophobia or not, they should still wash their hands. I never share food or anything though, unless it is with my mother (yes, I know. It's gross). I haven't gotten sick yet, so I think I'll be fine.

Ugh..I always hated finding that someone I have classes with was sick. I was always sure that something was starting to go around. Though after all the years in school and college and work I have found that unless you are careless you won't catch it.
Like everyone else said too who knows what made them sick...migrains, headache, medical reasons, SOme people eat food they dropped on the floor, don't wash thier hands, maybe really wasn't THAT sick and it was an easy way to go home. Either way no worries hun. Unless you were kissing, sharing a cup or something of the sort I wouldn't worry too much.
