So my bf and I scrapped it out last night and today I have a baby shower in Ottawa, which is almost 2 hours from here, and now he told me I could go by myself, problem is that where I am going I've never been, its not where I usually go to visit my brother, and I have to take the pick up because my whole family is putting their gifts in the box, and I didn't want to drive this huge thing alone, and the whole reason my bf and were going alone in one car was so that if later on I had to come back, we could without ruining anyone else's good time......What if I end up having an attack there and needing to take a pill, and then I feel drowsy, and then I' going to have to drive 2 hours to be home, sleepy, in a huge truck????????????????????????


Why today out of all days does this have to happen to me???????


I wish I didn't have to go but it's for my brother and I don't want to do that to him....

well maybe im juust young and innocent, but i dont know what "scrapped it out" means or " baby shower" lol.....i can guess - but you know, i wont bother.


i think we all need to stop thinking about the worst... i do it, so maybe im just being really hypocritical and asking for too much. but we cud go around saying "what if iwalk around this corner and thers v* there" or "what if i panic wen i go to the cinema and ruin it for everyone" -- thing is, i dont expect u will ruin it for eveyrone, and i hope that u dont panic either! and if u do, then its not the end of the world, jst smthing else you will get thru. sorry i cant be of much help.

Jen's right.... don't assume that you're going to have an attack. What if you go and it's a nice afternoon and the shower is fun and you have a great time? You are just going to make yourself worry. Then tell your bf to suck it up and come with you, it's not good to hold a grudge! I hope you have a good day regardless.


P.S. Jen, she meant she and her bf had a fight, and a baby shower is a party for an expectant mother where she gets gifts for the baby. We have them for weddings too. I didn't know that was just an American thing.

I am sure that you will be fine hun. A baby shower can be so much fun and the gifts are all soo sweet and cute. *sniff* No one gave me a baby shower when I was expecting though. Oh well.
I am hoping that you and your BF can reconcile so that you are not heading out on bad terms. It can be a regret for both parties if anything were to happen.
IF you do have to drive out there then just think...you are totally in control you can come and go as you need. I think you just having the pills with you will help too. I found more often then not just knowing I had them with me (kind of a security thing) was all I needed.
