I was thinking, now stop me if you think this is a bad idea. Well actually you can't stop me of you think it's a bad idea cause I am typing and you are re....um anyway.I see all these posts about how we want to get better, and then we fire off serious encouragement. While I love that idea, and believe me I really do. I think we need to go one step further. I used a lot of advice I had seen from the internet, and had the best summers I can remember. I fell a little from grace a few days ago, but after a really good night last night, I am ready to pick myself up and try again.
I am one of those strength in numbers kinda guy, and I trust a lot of people on here completely. So I am going to fire an idea out here, and just see if anyone out here agrees with me.
My suggestion... Is that we start a thread, and pick a day, and AS MANY PEOPLE as possible, attempt to do what is in that thread. When I decided that I was going to try and change, I made a list of the 10 things that sent me in to an emet fit, or made me uncomfortable. I've done nine of those things, the final one is too catch a stomach flu, or not avoid a person who has a v'ing flu. I'm not saying we go for something as drastic as my list, but along the same lines.
We set a date, and sometime during the day, people try the suggestion, then the thread is for support and help. Everyone envolved feeds off one another, and is there in case the person has an emet attack, or panics. We use our MSN messengers, our AIMs, to be supportive and there for the person who needs us, believe me when I got around to number 7 on my list I felt so good about myself, when the act actually happened during July I was prepared.
I'll make some points about how much this helped me. The last time I was sick, before this past year, was July 2nd 1984. I can tell you the time and what I had. I COULD NOT give you the date of what happened to me this year, because it really didn't matter.
Some things I was thinking of including, and I am totally open to suggestion, but things like eat something and go out for a while. Eat the last thing you got sick on. Your starting to get the idea. They get rougher as we go forward. I'm not talking about an induce v number 10, cause in my mind inducing v*, is really not a good thing for an emet. But say 10 is watch a movie with a pretty graphic v* scene in it.
I think if we all come together we could have a very successful, and easy time with this. Any thoughts?
