Did you hear about Christopher Reeve? Now talk about a
fighter and what he went through is far worse than emet! Sometimes I
feel ashamed of complaining about things, especially after knowing what
he had to go through and still fought no matter what. Here I am
freaking out over the possibility of someone getting sick, uggh. He
    really was Superman.</font>

    Aww yeah... *sigh*

Puts things int perspective when we think about what other peple have to go through. But remember that what we are going through is also very real and life-altering, just maybe not in the same way. Its serious if someones suicidal over it etc. But he was such a great guy, fighting til the end, bless him. But our fear is very real so dont think that what we hav in insignificant cos its not!!! Its just different.

I was shocked and sad to see that he passed away as well. I think about having emet and how yes, it could be much worse, I could have a deadly disease, I could be living on the street, etc. and I think this is a big reason why I hid my fear for so many years, that it seems silly and insignificant compared to some things people suffer with. Thanks for those words Sarah, becauseyou're right, to meemet ishuge and life altering and very real.

No offense, it is really sad that he died. But a lot of wonderful people die everyday and unfortuanately they don't get thesame treatment. I guess that's what happens when you're a celeb, even in death they are superior to us.

I think that the true sad thing about Reeves death is that, he wasn't like most superstars. You got such a great feeling from him, and after his injury, you saw that even more. I don't want to see anyone else in the blue and red suit.

of course its sad he died... but as someone has mentioned, so many ppl r dying everyday -- and theyre all gnna be "heroes" in some way, to some people.

sme as i disagree with giving celebrities loads of publicity if they have a disorder to smthing.. lke... the marykate wen she had anorexia.. funny hoiw eveyrone was lke "oh the poor thing" but the amounjt of peple suffering from tht disease is just shocking.

You are 100% right Jenneh. Altho I have to agree, he was a fighter and I admired him for having such an amazing attitude.

I'm probably going to hated for saying this, but everytime I think of Christopher Reeve, I think of that South Park episode where they made fun of him for the stem-cell research thing, and they had him sucking out the blood of fetuses. But that whole stem-cell thing--I don't know.

And as far as emet goes, I would seriously rather be in a wheelchair the rest of my life than have emet. There are so many way to accommodate the physically disabled these days, and I'm not afraid of death itself, so I would rather have any life-threatening disease than emet. Seriously. As long as it didn't involve vomiting, I don't care. I'd deal with anything in this world, as long as I wasn't afraid to get sick. Put me on the street with nothing but a blanket and a paper bag covering a bottle of booze--I don't care. That's how pathetic my life is.

you are not pathetic, trust me ive felt the same way. But ive realised that there are ppl who are worse off than us. But that doesnt mean we aren suffering cause we are BIG time! But we will get thru it! Im gonna make it my life goal to get everyone on here better! Even if i have to rob a bank to pay for treatment for everyone!!!!!!! I will find a way!!!

    Chin up everyone!
