I've never understood the culture difference how in the UK kids go trick or treating as monster, ghosts and other scary things, and in the US they go as big cows, superheroes and ballerinas.

In Canada, the kids go as what they want to be, a superhero, a princess, a pumpkin, a monster,a ghost, they go as anything they like, and I'm sure its the same everywhere, its not because its halloween that you absolutely have to go as a witch or ghost!!!

When I was younger I used to be a cat every year.

If think a lot of the kids in the US dress up as what they want to be when they grow up or who they wish they good be. I live in a military area and a lot of kids go as members of the military but I see alot of firefighters, ballerinas, etc.

But now that I think about it here that other people do things differently I think the kids should dress up as ghosts and goblins. That is what Halloween is supposed to be about.

Just remember not to let your kids eat too much candy.

My friends and I have a tradition of getting together on Halloween and watching a scary movie, having dinner, etc. We are trying to decide what to watch this year, so if anyone has any suggestions, please let me know! Thanks!

My hubbie and I are going to pass out candy for a while and then we are going to watch a scary movie together. He always seems to have to work on Halloween so I let him pick the plans. He really wants to see the kids in their costumes and he wants us to watch The Exorcist together because that is the only movie that really scares him. Of course I am sure it will be really scare me too, but for different reasons.

The only movie that really scares me is the movie IT by Stephen King. I recommend it for a good Halloween movie.

We are handing out small bags of potato chips, if I were
to hand out little chocolate things, that would be way too tempting for
me... there may not be any left to give out to the little ghosts and
goblins... you know Halloween is also the Wiccan New Year? Its also
called Samhain, all Hallow's Eve, all those cool names.

Ha me and my bestfriend are going trick or treating with her lil bro. When he gets fed up of us (or vice versa) were going to a halloween party. Were dressing up the same so it makes us look like twins lol. We're being witches, with lime green feathers around our hats and sleeves and wearing pink wigs. Complete with black lipstick and spider web tatoos! We are gonna call our selves the witchsters of doom...witchsters aka witch sisters lol!

Funny how the different areas/countries differ in Halloween celebrations.

My byfriend and I and a whole group of friends went to a haunted hayride/haunted asylum and haunted corn maze this past weekend. We want to dress up, but I don;t know what we're going to be yet!
