I've been doing a lot of research on emet outside of this website and it seriously amazes me how long some people can go without v* - even non emets! My own dad hasn't v*'d in over 20 years. A lot of people seem to easily go 20 years of more without 'it' happening. I'd like to think I'll be one of those people but I seriously doubt it [img]smileys/smilies_06.gif[/img] I know a lot of us on here hardly ever v* and it's strange how much we fear this thing that never occurs! I wish it could be as simple as saying 'oh i'm not going to obsess over this event that may be many years off yet' and it really frustrates me just how much time is wasted on this stupid fear [img]smileys/smilies_07.gif[/img]

I agree! if only it were that simple [img]smileys/smilies_05.gif[/img] People in my family are very very rarely sick and it does seem such an exhausting thing to worry about something for hundreds of weeks at t a time for something that takes up a few minutes when and if it does happen.

And the amazing thing about non-emets is that they can go 20+ years without vomiting without all the extra cleaning and handwashing rituals we put ourselves through! It just goes to show that is someone who routinely eats with only a cursory wash of their hands and doesn't dettol their house to death can go that long, then why do we go into 48 hours of torturous panic because our fingers maybe brushed against our food?

my family is always sick!! every year my whole family *v*'s at least once...before i had kids it was rare now I am hoping this year the coming year NO ONE WILL!!!! I wish i could share your findings but sadly here it is all around me [img]smileys/smilies_06.gif[/img]
