Hi, I dont post much anymore do I? =P been busy...

anyway yesterday i went into the video store I used to work at, and
this guy who only works there around the holidays was in and he comes
up to me and hes like UGH this old lady just P***d right in front of my
(he cut off there) im like NO WAY and he keeps going on to say yeah I
had to clean it up, ect im like im leaving now. so my boyfriend and i
left. afterward, we thought about it and knew the guy was a complete
butthole so we figured he did it just to upset me, so my boyfriend
called the manager and asked if it was true and it was. if it wasnt, i
wouldve sued his arse pronto, just to get him in trouble... =P anyway,
i was pretty shaken up after that as it is.. and a lady at work
recently said her son was home with the 'stomach flu' (which we know is
a nonexistant entity, it must be food poisoning or norwalk..) so Im a
bit tense lately.

Anyway my second part of this post is about "Tapping" has anyone heard
of it? Its supposedly a therapy technique. Someone told my mother about
it so Ive been looking on the net about it, and looked on amazon.com
for books, and the reviews were GREAT! usually on amazon youll see bad
reviews if something doesnt work (like for a natural medicine book,
tellin you you can cure anything by eating right, everyone was like
this book is CRAP!) so Im thinking of buying one of the books, it cant
hurt, its only like 8$ with shipping..

Ugh does anyone ever get like... flashbacks? Where you suddenly
remember in full force what its like to be V*ing? I had to close my
eyes and say "no" to myself and cover my face for a minute, I was so
bothered just awhile ago. Agggh i hate this time of year!!!

Hey Steph!!

Long time no see! Im sorry that happened, man some people just have to describe things like that for some unknown reason to me. I can see where that would upset you.

i saw a programme on phobias, and one woman used the process of tapping to cure her fear of frogs i think.

as far as i know, it worked!! doesnt really look too difficult/demanding so im sure its worth a try - altho logically i dont knw enough abot it to know how/why it works e.t.c

and i get flashbacks ALL THE TIME! lol

I think it could be a very good book for people to look into. It is a small investment for something that sounds like it could work.
BTW it is good to see you again. It is just too bad that you had to experience that boob. I mean who (especially someone in the public service) just blurts out something like that. It was an unnecassary comment no matter who he said it to. It sounds like you handled it pretty well. No major freaking out so that is awsome.

Isn't that EMDR? I have had that treatment and it involved a lot of tapping so I assume that is what you mean.

Hi Chiba,i have done what u say is tapping, its called TFT,which stands for Thought Field Therapy.....i found it really helpful and even now when i get anxious if i tap either under my nose or eye,it calms the anxiety down......i'm not sure how it works, but its probably more of a distraction, then anything else.....but the guy that started this treatment is called Dr roger Callahan,he's from la Quinta ca,so I'm not to sure but i think thats California, correct me if I'm wrong, not always sure what all the letters stand for in America,me being from the UK.....But the website for him is www.thoughtfieldtherapy.co.uk,actually thats the uk one but I'm sure u will find something on there if u are from somewhere else.....anyway i hope this helped......i would say give it a go.....i did techniques for vomiting, panic attacks and agraphobia.....and straight away i was able to get out of my house and go to the garage......so i found it a good therapy....i didn't cure me but helped alot with different things.....its suppose to be really good for post traumatic expereinces.....anyway if i find the site for your area i will write another post.....

what can u lose take care Vicky xxEdited by: trickyvicky

I've tried tapping, and while it didn't work for me, the hypnotist who tried to teach it to me swore he's cured tons and tons of people with it....always worth looking into, though I strongly believe that no quick treatment will be a cure, only true therapy...but anything that makes you feel better, even in the short run, is DEFINITELY worth looking into.

Hey!

Good to see you again! I'm sorry that stupid creep scared you intentionally. People are so mean sometimes.

I've never heard of tapping, but I recently had a memory come back to me that I've repressed for eleven years, so I guess anything's possible. I guess it never hurts to try, right?

God bless!
