Okay, I almost never start posts anymore, cause I figure I am old and have been here maybe even the longest (something like 5 years or more??), but I have a question. Last night I went out for pizza. After dinner there was a comedy improv group and then karaoke! It was a fun night, by the way. But, the leftover pizza was wrapped up and then sat in the box from after we ate (maybe 9?) till I got home and put it in the fridge after 1am. Today I was brave and ate it for lunch, but now I am just a tiny bit worried. Do you all think it will be okay? Thanks so much.....

You'll be fine. I worked at a pizza place for ever (lol just felt like it ) and they would leave pizza out in the display case (even ones w/ meat) and at the end of the night before thowing it out my boss would eat a slice cold and was fine, the display case wasn't a heated or refrigerated one so it was room temp and open to all the things floating int he air and I think my boss was probably the healthies guy there and he did that allt he time and never got sick so you will be fine is the point to this loooong post. Also my ex would get pizza, leave it out ALL night and eat it the next day, never got sick. Hope this helps! Enjoy the party today!

Yeah pizza is one of those things that lasts for a few days and then goes mankified - because you've cooked it, it'll be fine if you put it in the fridge!

I think pizza is exempt from all rules of food safety - lol. Don't ask me why...I've just never heard of anyone being poisoned from old pizza!

Cold pizza is the best.....the longer it sits out the better.hahaha. In college we used to order pizza, go party all night, come back, eat another piece, go to sleep, then eat it for breakfast the next morning!! haha, I never got sick once, so I think you're ok...I agrre with sage, pizza is an exception to the rule!!!

Aww, you guys are so sweet! Still replying to this old thing! Even Sage! I am so honored! Yep, I was totally fine. I actually think I freaked cause I heard a story once of someone that got sick from old pizza...BUT, it was cause it was in the trunk (boot for you UK'ers) of the car for something like days? And it was hot out!! So, no, usually, I think pizza is exempt from all the rules! And, it is so yummy! Thanks again, and you're right, Jenneh, just cause I am OLD and have been here forever, I am still entitled to ask things once in awhile when I get nervous. Thanks for reminding me of that. You all rock!
