Hey guys,

Im posting cos im feeling very sick. I kept "vurping" and thought i was going to actually be sick. Ive had some water and some anti-emetics but im still feeling just as bad. Im so scared, and im sick and tired of feeling this way. I think maybe im gettin a bug, ive had diarrhoea and tummy ache all day and im getting a headache now too. Why was vomit invented? It is the cruelest thing ever. I just dont want to be sick, i will feel as ill as anything as long as i dont vomit. WHy cant we take this fear away? Iwant to know how it feels to be normal.

    Sorry for boring u

You are not boring us. We all feel this way at some time or another. You might just be stressed out or your anxiety is bothering you. Or your just feeling a little under the weather today. I feel that way sometimes. Actually, I did last weekend. Try to relax and take deep breaths. Watch some TV or a movie to take your mind off of it. Take Care

sarah don't panic, you're going to be fine. bet you have been anxious all day..and your stomachs been churning over because you're so worried.
remember, vurps, are NOT the same as vomiting.. it's likely that you ate too quickly, or moved around after a meal. nevertheless, it's natural, perfectly normal, and doesn't mean you will vomit.
have you tried to "go" to the loo? i felt completely nauseated last night, becayse ineeded the toilet, after i went i felt so much more relieved.
calmly sit down with perfume, or a nice smelling scent, light a candle, and take deep breaths, you will be fine.
maybe you could walk around your block to get some fresh air?

Sorry to hear you are feeling unwell Sarah. Try to remember that diarrhoea does not always lead to v. I am sure you are going to be fine. Anxiety can make things ten times worse and can leave you imagining you feel sick when you don't. Keep drinking plenty of water and stuff and try to do some things to take your mind off it. Take yourself to bed with a good book or magazine and throw yourself into that or have a nice hot bath. We all know how you feel Sarah. I too wish v did not exist and that it had never been invented. Our lives would be so much freer than they are right now. Take care and let us know how you go. Big hugs. x.

Everytime I've had the 'vurps', it's been because 1. I ate too much, or 2. I ate and then laid down.... anxiety could be making you feel yucky too.

Wouldn't life be alot easier without this phobia or without v*ing?

    Hey there!

well your not alone, I just started feeling kinda crappy myself. Like stomach started getting gurgly and bleh, I hate that. Jazz is right!! I hate that when I get feeling soooo sick because I have to go to the bathroom!! That happened the other day in college, and a teacher was trying to explain something to me, and I felt soooo sick, thankfully I got out of there and was able to go and feel better!! I hate that!! Can that really make you sick? I hope not!!

I felt like that as well last night. My boyfriend came home from work and said he had a stomach acheall day... of course I quizzed him extensively about it and in the end I decided it was bloatedness and trapped wind but it made me start thinking if perhaps it was something we ate or a bug as I had a bit of diarrhoea during the day. By the time we went to bed I was so worked up I thought I would have to go and sleep in the spare room, my heart was pounding, I was shaking... it's horrible. I can completely empathise with how you were feeling. I too wish so much that we didn't have to feel this way over such a small thing. I am sure half the time I only feel ill because of the worry not because there is actually something physically wrong...
