my therapist says i need to face all that scares me. what scares me today....is having been exposed to that stomac flu from my prof. well, i'd be scared to leave the house for fear of getting sick outside of my comfort zone. so i'm taking a bus to the mall, going to shop for a bit, then going to have tea with a friend. but i've allowed myself to go home at anytime. but i need to do this.

anyone else find it hard to go out if they feel 'off' or are anxious?
.I just want to feel safe in my own skin. I just want to be happy again. I just want to feel deep in my own world. But I’m so lonely I don’t even want to be with myself. <3

    Hey crazygirl

it is great that you do all the things, also if you feel not so well! That´s really important. Your therapist is right.

I know a german emet, who never can´t go out at all. She is 30 years old and didn´t work since 1997. that is really bad.

Because you must go out to see that nothings gonna happen. You´ll be okay. It is sometimes a hard way...but it works. It will getting more and more easier.

I have a really HARD time going out when I'm going thru the panic stage. I just can't wait each day to get home from work and go home and stay there. I know it's bad, but it's the only thing that keeps me sane. My house is my only safe zone. I know exactly what you mean.

P.S. Good for you for getting out there and doing what you're doing, you still have the escape if you need it and sometimes that's all we need, i.e. having mints on hand, having a plastic bag, having anti-anxiety pills, etc. Good for you!

That's great Crazybeautiful that you are doing these things even though you feel off/anxious/scared. I too am afraid to go places or do certain things when I feel anxious or what not, but needless to say, I force myself. I was anxious about driving to FL for our vacation. We live in Indiana right now, so it was a two day drive, but I survived. It just seems that all of this worrying I do is for nothing, and it makes me mad. We're moving to FL in a couple of weeks. I'm scared and anxious, but I'm going. I don't want to regret this opportunity, but yes, I too am like that.

Well I'm back from the mall. Felt a bit anxious, there were tons of little kids (lol - I picked the right day!) around, but I bought a few things, then went for tea alone because my friend wasn't home!!

the only time i really felt anxious is when i looked in the mirror and i looked really tired and my eyes are all bloodshot (but I believe it's from being tired!).

so I got through today, now I just have to get through work tommorow.

    Crazybeautiful:

WELL DONE! Even if its just a little progress, you still accomplished what you wanted. You were probably just tired. I was at my friends house last night and i got back REALLY late and then I had to wake up this morning to go to a breakfast meet up at my church lol. My eyes go all bloodshot when im tired so you probably just need to catch up on some sleep.

    Best regards, Chris

When i feel "off" I ONLY leave if I HAVE TOO! If it can be put off for the day i stay in my comfort zone.
