Dragon Age: Origins game... is it safe?

Hi all, occasional poster and Film List contributor here.

I have just bought the new Bioware game "Dragon Age: Origins" because I love Bioware's games and this one looks amazing, but I am worried because from reading about it it seems to be trying to shock people with its gory realism. I'm not wild about gore but I can put up with it - but if any characters v* in the game, especially unexpectedly or violently, that I will have to avoid.

So I'm hoping someone here who is braver than me will have played the game already and can tell me if it's completely safe, and if it's not, whether there's anything I can do in the game to avoid seeing v*. Or if it's scripted and I can't avoid it, if you could tell me where I should look away!

My bf has played it, and he's addicted. I'm texting him now to see if he recalls any ickies in it. I personally think it looks amazing, I just don't have time to play it between work, WoW, and L4D2.

And he replied!
"There may be one part I can check tomorrow, but I haven't seen anything. Warn them it's a huge game and there isn't a 100% guarantee but I'm confident there isn't."

I'll post again after he checks that one part for ya He tends to play games and watch movies with an emet eye so he can keep me safe from unexpected surprises.

This is Asia's boyfriend, I recently checked out the part I was a bit fuzzy on and there isn't anything to worry about.

Like Asia mentioned earlier, it is a pretty big game and there are many different ways to handle each situation. There isn't anything within the combat that should worry you, but some of the story elements are so diverse you could play the game 3 times and still be seeing something new.

Thank you so much Asia and Asia's boyfriend. It will make the game so much more enjoyable to be able to relax as I play it. I'll just be sensible with in-game decisions and not do anything disgusting, given the choice! ;p

Honestly, this makes me feel so much better about it and makes a big difference to me, and I'm really grateful.
