What are the chances?

So I went up to someone's house to drop something off, and this kid was in the living room. He got up and ran off and someone said that he was v****ing again for the 4th time. I stayed at the front door (living room was at back of the house), and left after about 1 min. I touched a pen the dad was using, but sanitized my hands thoroughly with ethyl alcohol sanitizer. Do you think there's any chance of catching something? Or do you have to actually have contact with the person that is sick??

I think you should be okay. Stomach viruses take the fecal-oral route, meaning you have to physically touch the v* or d* of an infected person or a surface contaminated by it. Upon touching any contaminated surface, you must then physically make contact with the eyes, nose, or mouth. I think you'll be okay.
