Default video games = motion sickness

Anyone else have a problem playing video games? I get so....n* playing games. Not all games mostly the type where the player is actually in the game (from the players point of view).

Anyway, last night I was doing Wii Fit and was biking and got so n* that I had to stop the game, take an anti-emetic and lie down. I was completely awful!

I wound up going to bed at 8:30 because the n* was so...intense that it caused me to have a panic attack (haven't had one in over a year but have been s* at least twice).

Anyway, I was just wondering it this was just unique (or quirky) trait that I alone had or if others also suffer from this problem

BTW - I used to be kellygirl but can't log in under that name since the update.

Hope everyone is well and has a great day!

How odd! I've been playing games all my life and have never suffered motion sickness from them, I get the occasional headache from playing a racing game but that doesn't stop me I heard people got motion sickness from watching cloverfield, which if you don't know about is filmed entirely from camera man perspective, and would not be much different from the wii game, so I think it's not that uncommon, must suck though

Oh goodness that is so funny you mentioning this because i was doing biking on wii fit the other night and my bike went off the edge of the road and dropped quite a long way down on to another street below (it's the wii fit plus one not the sports resort one) and my stomach lurched like was really falling and i had to get off the board as i felt like i was about to be s* - i don't even get motion sickness in real life so it was weird.

paulinek, it was the biking that got me as well. I did ok on the beginner setting (some n* but I was able to handle it ok) but last night I tried the harder setting (22 flags) and had to do way too many circles to find my way (it is way...harder than the beginner setting). I also fell but off a cliff nto a body of water - LOL.

You and I had better practice our biking skills.

Good luck with the Wii Fit Plus program. I'm enjoying most of the activities but will stay away from the bike and the segway for now - LOL.

    Thanks for the responses!!!

BTW -- was able to watch Cloverfield (and the Blair Witch Project) without much n*. I did have to close my eyes during some parts due to the shakyness of the camera!

Cloverfield was a GREAT movie but made me a bit n*. Anyway I play videogames all the time, all kinds of them too but mostly FPS games. My current favorite is Duke Nukem LoL. Remind me not to try the wii fit at my friend's house o.0

I get VERY n* while playing 3D video games. The only things I can play are platform games like vintage Mario or Zelda. I hate it.

Man that sucks Judy_D! I can't even imagine what I would do if I couldn't play Resident Evil! Or Grand Theft Auto! But I love my vintage video games just the same ;-)

Luckily I don't get motion s* with games, but my mom used to get dizzy and N from watching me play the oldschool Legend of Zelda N64 games lol. Pop some dramamine and get hardcore

Lol - very true, i seemed to spend more time falling off ledges and crashing into things than going in a straight line!

    Paulinek...

TOO funny. I did just fine on the beginner course but the advanced is killing me (or would if I had the nerve to try it again - LOL). Maybe dramimine would help -- I'll try it next time.

    Thanks for all the responses.

    Kelly
