    Default Help! Terrified.

So I posted earlier about spending time with my boyfriend who recently got over sv*. I've been pretty nervous recently and started zoloft a little over two weeks ago with some constipation as a side effect. I know it can also cause d*, and I accidentally skipped a dose yesterday and took my dose today with food, as usual, but it had been 17 hours since I had eaten anything when I took it. I also haven't been eating particularly well (alot of bread, anxious about what's in other foods), today I had some stomach cramps, mainly feeling like my intestines were moving things along. I had d* just now, at least it seemed like it (I couldn't hold it in, even though that's incredibly embarrassing for me to admit.......) and now I'm having what I can only describe as "anal leakage". It's so embarrassing, but I'm really worried that I have sv*. The thing is, I don't feel n*. Please help!!!!!!! I'm freaking out. I haven't had a full-on panic attack in awhile, but this is creating one. Could the zoloft be causing this even though it's been 9 1/2 hours since I took it??????? I'm so scared.

I'm sorry that you're not feeling well. I don't know if its the zoloft or not but I'm pretty sure that you don't have a stomach virus. I know that my body reacts in strange ways when I don't eat a well balanced diet. Like not being able to "go" for a few days and then going A LOT in one day, as well as experiencing d*. Try to get some rest and eat a better diet (like maybe some fruits and veggies) over the next few days and I'm sure you will feel much better.

agreed. medication and disrupted diet can - an ususally does - cause intestinal distress. i have *d nearly constantly as a result of a few things (diet and meds and panic/anxeity being main things). i am constantly freaking out about whether or not it's *sv. asked my doctor about it on monday and he said i'd know if it was *d from a *sv if i was on the toliet for a long period of time (like hours he said) and coudln't control it. he's helping me to figure out my body cues and what means what.
    it's confusing.
but information like that makes my head a bit quieter.
eat well and rest - just like mojo said.

Thanks for all the support!! I didn't have d* again after that and didn't eat anything until around 4:00 the next day and everything was fine. I think it was just a result of overeating that day and possibly the zoloft. Thanks again for everything!!

I get like that when I eat too much bread!!!

When I was at my worse with emit.. I would just eat plain wraps.. they were light in my tummy, but it is a vicious circle.. if you have a (very) limited diet, you feel n* which stops you eating, which makes you feel worse....
