    Default worried about catching bug!!

my boyfriend came down with really bad d* and stomach cramps on saturday night and thought it was something he had eaten. However, i avoided him for a few days anyway just to be on the safeside. Well today i met him as i thought it was safe and really enjoyed seeing him and felt quite relaxed but since leaving him an hour ago to go home he phones me and tells me that his flat mates have also come down with s* and d* tonight. Now im petrified i will have caught it. could the bug pass from his flat mates to me through him even though i havent seen his flat mates since saturday?? please help im petrified!!

I dont think so because if it was a sv* such as noro, you actually have to swallow particles of v* or feces. And it could still be from food they had in the fridge and his flat mates just ate it a few days after him? My boyfriend got norovirus on saturday and I was freaking out but Im fine now even though I was around him and his dad ended up catching it. Im sure youll be fine too.

Oh i hope so. I am just being ultra paranoid about the whole situation. The problem is I work with my partner too and im worried about him spreading it around work as well :S How did you avoid becoming ill when you're boyfriend had it??

Well it isnt contagious until they start feeling ill, and even then is only transferred through feces or v* particles being swallowed. So I just washed my hands before I ate/touched my face and I was fine.
