A little of topic, but related to emet. I just wanna know, why evryone my age NEEDS alacohol top survive? It's like the cant live without it. I never drink. And then whenever people my gae do hang out at home not at a bar.....they play normal games like cards, scrabble, trivia pursuit, etc....but feel the need to turn the into DRINKING GAMES!!!!!!!!! WHY??? IT is so stupid to me. I hate it, I feel like emet is destined to be everywhere because alcohol is everywhere. I feel even stupider when I do finally get out and particpate in a low key game-while drinking water or diet coke. Some of my boyfriends friends try and push me, my boyfriend stick up for me. But i still feel so stupid. What is the point of needing to drink 24/7? Or turn everything into a drinking game.

I can't stop laughing...I feel exactly the same way. I am 27, and
never drink. But you are so right. Everyone has to turn a
normal game into a drinking game. I love to stay home and play
board games, then I invite over my sister, and she brings beer. I
guess we have different reasons for not drinking. I don't because
of my emet of course. I would probably drink if I didn't have
it. But just think of how healthy our livers are!!!! Carrie

Very true. Im sure I dont drink because of my emet too. Plus, I just have always thought that drinking was pretty stupid. To drink all that and just act ridiculous and not know whats going on---nah, not my thing probably even if i didnt have emet, well, maybe id drinking a little, lol. It is so sad though, how everything is a drinking game and I get so annoyed. When i went camping with my bf and his friends I brought trivia pursuit and scrabble....and they were like yea....drinking games!!! ARGH

I felt so stupid too when i was at my bf's friends house with him and they were playing a drinking game with cards and all they had in the house was alcohol and he yelled from the fridge---do you want water or apple juice???....while evryone else was having jacks and coke or rum or something.

I love those games without alcohol and i am enetertained by them, so why do they need to be drinkin games. And why do they drink when they get the wrong answer.....if drinking is so fun to them, why is drinkng the punishment???

I never thought of that. Why do they drink when they get a wrong
answere? Shouldn't they drink when they get one right..to
celebrate? I can remember playing card games with diet coke, and
my boyfriends friends got mad because i was winning. Thats
because I wasn't sloshed like them, and could actually see
straight. And I too like playing games for what they are. I
already bought my boyfriend 2 of them for christmas....and for me too.

Jenneh, I couldnt agree more. today at work this 16 year old (not even legal drinking age in the US) casme up to me, she got in at 3pm and she said...."oh my lord, danielle, i was sooooooooooooo tired from being hung over, I drank so freakin much last night" and i just told her, "hunny, you dont have to brag about drinking to me, because i dont care, i dont think it makes you cool or older, i think it's really stupid." Boy---did she shut up and straighten out quick!! lol

Jen, I just dont understand---why they drink when they get it wrong? Doesnt everyone want to drink and maybe if they drank when they got it right they'd get more answers right? It just seems so weird to me that drinking is the consequence of a wrong answer.

I think the whole concept is just plain stupid-these drinking games and turning everything into a drinking game. Why cant anyone have just good plain old fun! Why cant they socialize without alcohol, and have fun without includin alcohol at all. I have fun and i dont drink.

OMG I went shopping this past weekend and saw a checker board with shot glasses instead of checkers. It was at a regular department store, not a nasty novelty store too. I don't get it.

Totally understandable!!! I'm 26 and have never been drunk. In fact I never drink. Besides the fact that I'm terrified that I'll get ill from it, I think some people act like morons when drinking or needing to drink. Like somehow it is impossible to have a good time if you aren't drinking.

Im 21 and just recently took my very first sip (and I mean sip..just a little tiny taste) of alcohol..and that was extremely hard for me..

I dont understand the idiots who feel the need to get sloshed constantly..its one thing to get a slight bizz to relax yourself..but to go out..play those stupid games...get up hung over..go into work and complain and bitch and not be able to do your job..i think its just plain old stupid.

just know you are not alone in your feelings of drinking!
And now I\'m glad I didn\'t know

I know what you're talking about. I've been at parties where people are playing drinking games, and people get WAY too carried away and they end up drinking WAY too much. I hate that! My boyfriend actually used to be one of those binge drinker types, but once I told him that it really pissed me off and made me all anxious when he got sick from it, he stopped. He hardly drinks at all anymore. I mean, every once in a while he'll have a few beers, but not enough to make me nervous. He's a big guy, he's 6'3'' 190 pounds, so he can drink a lot if he really wanted to, like he used to. A few beers doesn't even faze him anymore. But anyway, I feel the exact same way about drinking games, they're just stupid stupid reasons for people to drink way too much.
