A brave man is not a man who is not afraid, but one whose will is stronger than his fear.

I've noticed this a lot lately. I seem to get it randomly. I think it's normal.

This is totally normal. I'm not exactly sure, but I'm pretty sure it's to break down food and assist your chewing before you swallow food

Heard of Pavlov's Dogs? They salivate every time they hear a bell because it reminds them of food...

Well humans salivate when they think about food or are eating food or smell food - just like dogs. Saliva is used to help digestion, so it's perfectly normal to salivate when/around eating.
