A brave man is not a man who is not afraid, but one whose will is stronger than his fear.
it was this link many years ago that explained to me that I wasn't alone.
I go back to it all the time.

Aww, it made me feel way better and smile a little knowing I'm not alone.
Thanks, people! That is MY site. I wrote those FAQs. I don't think you have to be so brave to read the Vomiting FAQ. If you want to prevent the dreaded tummy toss, it behooves you to learn as much about it as you can. That's what I did, and I share what I know.

That is an awesome site! I learned a ton...thank you! Knowledge is power!
love it! haha favorite fact: "the average person fights nausea for 33 minutes before giving in and vomiting. The average emetophobic fights nausea for 20 hours!"
soo true!
I don't know if I ever said thank you for your site Doug, but I really do appreciate the effort you put into it! It was the first thing I read when I finally decided to really research emetophobia and, along with the forums, has really helped to dramatically reduce my anxiety. THANKS!
The waiting seems eternity
a day will dawn of sanity.
lots of interesting stuff there...I'd forgotten.
Thanks Doug!

Your page is the first thing I read when I found out there were others like me! How strange! It is so comforting for me to go back and look at it for reminders. It spoke to my logical brain (who was at least half-listening because I had some temporary relief from my anxiety). I'd never seen so many facts/information that is important to me all in one place! I'm glad I get to personally say thank you, because I really needed the logical, rational, objective FACTS you provided for me in that neat little package.
So...thank you, Doug. Folks like us are so lucky to have you, and each other to help us navigate life with such a crippling condition.
And thank you to the admins and members of IES (sorry for the generalization...I will get to know you all). Your warmth and understanding goes such a long way.
