anxiety over parent’s sickness

I really just have to vent, we were just talking about this on another thread, that alot of us get anxiety about someone who's not even near us but we hear they are sick. Well my mom just sent me an email saying that my stepdad was up v*ing and diarhea all night last night. I had that instant panic feeling, like I was going to have instant diarhea, and my body just went cold. I was doing so well, even going out to eat, going Christmas shopping. Now I hear about this and down I go, even tho they're 300 miles away. We're going there for Christmas and I'm going to be scared, I'm even getting something in the mail from my mom and I'm scared about that, that the virus can travel thru the mail. How stupid is that???? But I'm still scared!!! I can't believe what this phobia does to my brain!!!! This date is just so awful too, because two separate years my sister in law was sick on this week in December, my husband was sick during this week back in 1993, now my stepdad. Ugghhhhh...... I sooo know how you feel
I am the same way, it doesn't matter if I'm around a person or not if i hear someone has it i'm convinced it's going around and i'm going to get it..it's awful...I instantly have to use the restroom lol

i would feel the same way aboaut the package coming in the mail...although remember..there is probably no chance of you getting it from them
